Close but no cigar
This version has great padding but the width is narrower than previous versions. I had bought this style when Sorel first came out with them—and they were perfect. Out of the box I could walk around all day in them. In the following version the padding in them dropped to nonexistent and they were no longer comfortable for long stretches. This version has the padding back (yay!) and they seem like they'd be very comfortable... if you have standard width feet. The last two iterations of this shoe had a wider toe bed and they narrowed it in this one (picture for reference—comparing 8 with 8). The heel is still the same width. I also tried sizing down to a 7.5 because the ankle straps were just a hair big for me and that helped. The width is the same in both the 7.5 and 8. For reference, my toe box is just a little wide to be comfortable in standard width shoes that have constriction across the toes. I'm considering using a shoe stretcher to see if I can get them to work anyway because otherwise these really are the perfect summer sandal.
Fine, missing earlier design
Fine but not as good as their previous model. I’ll keep it in the hopes that it gets more comfortable with wear. Seems like less cushioning and arch support and a harder sole material. The pair I got two years ago had a super soft bouncy sole and soft flexible straps right out of the box. These seem more rigid. They are attractive but I really don’t understand why companies think we all want a completely flat shoe bed. Wish they would stick with their old simpler, more comfortable design!
So comfortable
These sandals are extremely comfortable. The wide elastic does not cut into your ankle. I have a rather narrow foot and these fit well.
Comfortable and Versatile
I bought a pair of these sandals about 5 years ago and loved them so much Im buying another pair. They have a solid/sturdy feel while looking like a casual sandal that can be dressed up or down. The wrapped design makes my foot feel stable.
