A perfect match
I purchased a Moji R+ some time ago, and it’s a great product, from the included rechargeable batteries to the magnetic base. However, as time passed, I realized that, for my intended use, it was overkill. Other reviewers enjoy the multi-color features, etc., but they’re not useful to me. I used it primarily as a simple lantern around the house. The extra little button, however, used for accessing the extra features, became a hindrance at night, when all I wanted was to be able to turn the unit on/off at night. So, I bought a basic Moji, and it suits my needs perfectly. I still have my Moji R+, and I still use it in other parts of the house. But for a basic, well functioning lantern, with minimal fumbling in the middle of the night, this little guy is perfect.

Poor Design
Disapointed. AAA batteries do not seat well and pop out of contacts. Too Dim. Rechargeable BD1500 battery would not work in it.

Highly recommend. Solidly built. Water resistant.

It really is amazing. I'll have to admit it took me a while to figure out how to change the brightness but I've used it in all kinds of settings around the house. Most recently I used it to clear the drain in my dishwasher. I placed it on the upper rack and the light was perfect. I did make one mistake however. I left it in the dishwasher when I ran the cycle. When I opened the dishwasher up the light was still on! But two days later it stopped working. My fault and I bought another one.

Best Boundary Waters Lantern

After much trial and error, I have found that the Moji Lantern is the best overall for use in the Boundary Waters - they are rouged and have found that they stand up to a high water/wet environment. The variable brightnesses on the Moji means that I can have the lantern on all nights if needed. They are lite weight, very durable and dependable. I bought my first ones many years ago, and just bought two more, the old ones are in service to date still. The attached hanging system can attach to almost anything. They can face down or up, they are worth the investment and will give many years of service.

Good little tent lamp.

I don't understand why folks are having such a hard time twisting the cap off for the batteries... Popped right off for me. A little trick is to pull the little hangers up and twist them, that helps with some leverage if you need it. But I didn't find it difficult at all. The light is super bright, and I love that it dims!

Product Doesn't Last Through Multiple Seasons

Dissapointed in this product by Black Diamond. I only got to use this product on 3 camping trips before the switch mechanism went faulty and the product no longer works. Not a durable or reliable product to add to your gear for long term use.

Mighty Light

This thing is great. The size and shape make it easy to carry and store and the output is amazing. I’ve always loved the two part hangers that Diamond uses, it make it super easy and secure to hang. I’m going to buy a couple more to stash around the house for emergency and power outages.

Cute and hangs nicely

Bought this last year and have now brought it with on various adventures. Car camping and living room camp adventures down, I can offer an OK rating. FUNCTION Light is not heavy, hangs fine if you have a secure spot (it’s light so it’ll dangle around if it’s too windy), and it’s not the brightest (think dim and calm). Battery latch and body fit nicely so you aren’t struggling to open or close or fit things back together. FORM What can I say, it’s cute! For living room camping, this light is perfect for little hands and spaces. For cat and tent camping in the wilderness, this is more of an occasional piece that fits into small compartments but isn’t used as the primary light. The colors to choose from were very nice when I purchased and I got to choose from green and blue.

Great little lantern

I decided to buy this little lantern for camping and power outages when I realized that I could buy 3 for the price of 1 of the brighter and fuller-featured (and heavier!) lanterns I was considering. Rather than buy a rechargeable model, I decided it was more economical to simply stock up on rechargeable batteries that will power all of my lanterns, headlamps, and pocket flashlights. I love the small size, weight, and “infinite” dimming. Hung “upside down,” it does a great job of lighting my tent.

Great little light.

Had a recent power failure and this little light lit up an entire room. I can only imagine how useful it would be in a tent!
