design with flaw

poor design or desgin flaw, the two clip on top flip will not hold the top flip in place, it moves sideway and the white lining for the main compartment will expose.

No, I do not recommend this product

White inner lining is exposed on black product

this is just my impression of the backpack (without actual use) and a suggestion to design team. Product looks like having a good quality of materials, hardware and zippers. I like also a very convenient design with easy multiple access points and many zipped pockets which are inside and outside. My concern even without using it - in black one which I may consider, internal lining is of attractive very light colour, but the top closing (with a string) part sticks out even when the bag is closed. Creates impression of exposed underwear and/or not a whole product. Would recommend this top exposed part of the lining make the same black colour.

Thought is was better…

Me I’m sold Arc’teryx…huge fan of this brand!! I hva had an Osprey’s back pack for 15 years or so and still good but i really wanted to change and have an Arc’teryx. I was looking for about the same amount of liter so my choice stopped on this one. I love the colour and the price was in the range that I wanted to pay. The only thing that bug me about it when I received it is there’s no pockets on the waist attachment…i was really disappointed but at the it’s my fault because I didn’t look properly the images before buying it. I thought at that price it should have some!! Also the padding for the straps shoulders are really thin. Let see when i go for small hike!!!

Great for travelling but some issues with design

This bag is great for travelling if you're packing for an overnight trip somewhere urban, good carrying for laptop and lots of space for clothes. I love the 2 zip pockets at the front, allows to fit lots of things. However, I have some qualms with the design. It is not too comfortable to wear heavy for a long time, and if you have anything in the top pocket, it makes it top heavy and makes it flop frontward when you put the bag down. Also the pockets and straps holding the water bottles on the sides are not too tight (or maybe I wasn't using them right) but I've lost a bottle because of this once..

Great small day pack with excellent features

This pack has become my go to city and outdoor climbing day pack. I've had several packs from other outdoor brands this same size but this one is by far my favorite. The outer zipper to access the main compartment is my favorite feature on this pack. The slim wide design lets you load it down and stuff it full without that feeling of the pack pulling you back. The outer mesh pockets are really handy for water bottle, shoes, trekking poles, etc. There are four zippered pockets to hold small items and organize essentials you don't want floating around in the main compartment. Great pack, great design!

Great bag with lots of room!

Great bag with lots of room. I’ve had it for about a year now. The top pocket is great for quick access. My only issue is how the top of the bag flops if you put anything in the top pockets unless the main pockets are super full. This bag is great for everyday use and hiking. This pack I use for work and virtually everything.

Poor quality

I bought this bag in January ‘23 generally very excited - after a few short flight trips and daily commute with my bike the shoulder straps are already coming undone and honestly, very disappointed in Arc especially since it’s known for quality products. Would NOT recommend this for anyone

Poor design/ not durable

After very light use (over maybe 30 outings) one of the shoulder straps is tearing away from the pack. Very disappointed in the quality and design. I do not recommend this pack.

Love it!

I’ve had the bag for over a year now and absolutely love it. I’ve used it for travel, biking, hiking, and my work commute. The materials are great and hold up very well. There is a large laptop sleeve and several pockets. I love the easy access zip on the side to the main storage - this design avoids the need of unlatching the top flap and having to open/close the drawstring. Highly recommend!

Mantis 30 backpack

I have bought this backpack for a hike. Some things I really like about this backpack (like the space and the zippers on the front for easy access), but I must say that comfort (when wearing on your back) is less than I would have expected, which gives me a bit of a double feeling. Maybe the backpack is less suitable for hiking and is more for daily use for work/school.
