Great item to extend the life of your tent
We always use footprints to help protect the bottom of tents from puncture holes caused by pointy rocks or sticks. I will usually pick up any major debris before setting up our tent. Also, I prefer to use a footprint vs. a tarp because I have found that tarps can collect rain water and then you’ll be swimming in a pool of water, while the footprints are sized just a little smaller than the tent so water doesn’t pool underneath you. It’s easy to set up, you lay out the footprint and then stake it down. In my opinion this is a must have item to extend the longevity of your tent!
Perfect Size Footprint for 6 Person Tent
I got this footprint to go along with my 6 person base camp tent. This footprint is the perfect size for the tent. The footprint was effective. The ground was wet from rain so I'm glad that we had the extra layer for protection. I love the cute color contrast of the footprint. The grey color is fine but it's much cuter with the pop of color from the corner straps. I also appreciate the storage pouch that it came with.
Sturdy and effective
This footprint was nice and sturdy and worked as expected. The size is just right for the tent, and it did an excellent job of keeping moisture from coming up from underneath in a long day of rain, also fits far enough under the tent that no water pooled on the footprint. Stays securly in place with the tent poles in the holes. Very happy with it.
Great value and very strong base material.
This base fit nicely under my Nemo 4 person wagon top tent. It was thick and prevented the bottom of my tent from getting nasty from the freshly cut grass on the campsite.
Base Camp 6, Sir Yes Sir!
This is the best tent I have ever used. The two layers are amazing for variety in your camping. My friends and I went on a road trip across the west coast and we camped most of the days. This was the best tent that we could have asked for. It was so amazing that we started naming random things, Base-Camp 6 also. If you come to our house, it is also Base-camp-6. Would 10/10 recommend.
Old reliable
REI footprints never fail me - while we don’t have a ton of moisture in New Mexico usually, we have lately and this footprint held up just as well as every other REI footprint we’ve owned. We stayed dry and the bottom of our tent stayed protected!
First Factory Ground Cloth
First manufacturer ground cloth I've ever bought. It's easier to use than Tyvek, but a LOT heavier. No problem with a car camp tent.
