Surprisingly large and incredibly well built!
I historically have not been a duffel bag person. I’ve relied on backpacks and suitcases. I was only using duffel bags for the gym. This duffel bag changes that. It is built incredibly well and has intuitive features. I like that you can change it into a backpack by sliding straps out of special pockets. It has more room than my standard carry-on but folds up nicely when not in use. I easily packed four days of clothes and other travel items. I love the zipper handles; they are large and have a good “heft” to them. It makes it feel like opening a high-end product. The only negatives are that I would like a few extra pockets to place toiletries and other items. It also lacks a shoulder strap. Overall, it is a solidly built bag that will probably start to replace my carry-on.
Well Made Versatile Duffel
So far, I am really happy with this duffel bag. I have been looking for a duffel bag that could hold enough clothing for a long weekend but also be easy to carry/stow when on trips. I appreciate how there are many loops around the product so that you can carry it or pull it out from somewhere (for instance, the back of the car, I'm sure this would make ergonomics easier for an airplane too), but also ....BACKPACK STRAPS that pull out or you can stuff them back in if you don't prefer the backpack style. I thought the straps were a little hard to put back in their spaces, but eventually got them back in there. I also like the color scheme and how it looks classic and not super bright or flashy. I also pack along clothing for myself and my toddler and this is great for packing a lot of clothing in a small space. Again, I want to pack in as efficient of a space as possible without adding a lot of bulk or weight and I want it to be as easy to access as possible, so I appreciate the many ways this can be used (backpack straps vs classic duffel straps vs small side loops). I plan on using this again on the airplane this winter!!!
Lots of storage, but kind of awkward to carry
This is a gigantic, well-made bag but it’s designed in-between a bag and a backpack and doesn’t do either very well. At first I loved how much it could hold. The material is very durable. But it doesn’t have a good strap/carrying system for the amount it can hold. It does have two shoulder straps like a backpack that can stow away neatly, but because of its size and how much it can hold it’s awkward to carry with those backpack straps as a normal duffel. It also needs an ability to be compressed when it’s not completely full. The more I use it the less I like it, but it’s not bad for carrying a ton on a road trip where it can go from house to trunk quickly.
Perfect Large Duffel
This is the perfect bomber duffel for travel or hauling gear. I love that the backpack straps are attached but can be easily tucked away into their own dedicated pockets, whereas other bags' backpack straps are often detachable and easily lost. The oversized zipper pulls are AWESOME, especially for use with gloved hands--this is probably my favorite feature and makes the bag more user-friendly for anyone with mobility or dexterity issues too. The large zipper opening is straight across the middle of the bag as opposed to the U-shaped opening of other duffels I've seen. Several lash points make this bag great for hauling gear on the back of a snowmobile, as there's plenty of places to tie the bag down. My only complaint is that the fabric feels a bit flimsy and not super waterproof, so I'm not sure how it would hold up getting rained on. Also, the thin material causes the bag to lose all its shape when its empty. That makes the bag lighter and more easily packed up for storage, but a little harder to set down on a surface and try to pack. 90L to me is the perfect size for use as a checked bag for extended travel, allowing plenty of room but not so big that it becomes hard to carry.
Great No Frills Duffle
- I love that it’s made from recycled materials! Fabric & seams feel strong and well constructed. Backpack straps make this bag one of our favorite travel bags. I wish there was more than one zippered pocket or some sort of compartment organizer on inside. It’s a great size for the essentials & the T-Pull zipper makes it easy to open. The one downside is it’s hard to stuff back into the storage pocket it comes with. Overall, It’s a great no frills duffle!
Great Big Bag
Great for hauling a lot. I have been taking my leg compression kit with me everywhere lately and it's nice to be able to put that in the same bag as my other recovery equipment like foam rollers, massage guns, etc.
Great duffle and travel pack
This is a great quality duffel, that compresses into its own internal pocket, and has great straps to become a backpack.
