Great boots, fix the zipper
Comfortable boot, my only complaint is the side zipper. When zipped all the way up there is a fabric behind the zipper meant as some sort of protective backing, but it isn't tall enough and the zipper gets stuck on it when you're trying to unzip the boots later. Reaching a numb/cold finger down into the boot isn't ideal when trying to take them off.
This is my experience
Next to impossible to pull on. I purchased half size larger with medium width. I changed thickness of socks still impossible to pull on.
Great boots...just hard to get on!
Every shoe I wear is a Merrill and I really like them. This boot is no exception but for one reason. They are very hard to get on! This is no easy slip on. Initially it took lots of pulling to get these over my heel and almost returned them. If I had been in a shoe store I would have not purchased these. I'm getting better at getting them on but if have back issues or trouble bending over I would pass on these. Once on they are comfortable and nicely insulated. Getting them off is no problem. Otherwise I'm happy with the purchase.

Stylish, comfy, warm but small.
Good boots. Stylish enough for my door to door ministry work in the winter. They don’t look like work or play boots. I like the side zipper instead of slip ons which would be too hard to fit in. Would be nice if there was a pull strap on the zipper side in addition to the one on the back for holding that side up as you push your foot in. Good traction on ice. Warm enough for 30 degree weather. An online search warned they run small so I ordered a size bigger than I normally wear. Still snug. Overall good boots though.
We value your feedback.
Happy Feet
I have started using this shoe as my go to farm shoe in the fall, winter , spring. Dew, mud, manure have a way of ruining any shoe but with very little care these shoes seem to come through easily. What really gets me is the comfort of a warm shoe that supports my feet in such a way that makes me just want to wear them over any other shoe. I can hose them off and easily slip them off when I come into our mud room. They might even be suitable for hiking if I get the time for that sort of thing.
We love happy feet! Thank you.
Ideal for urban winter
I have not had a pair of winter boots for > 30 years. Been making do with hiking and work boots. I do not know what I have been missing! I thought I would wear these 5-10 days per winter season in Toronto BUT I am wearing them every day. My feet are warm! The boots are very comfortable! I always had lace ups because of orthotics, podiatrist recommendation. IMHO.. zip is great and the fit is excellent...can walk all day and right out of the box. Highly recommended.
Thank you for your rating!
Great for running errands
I have both these boots and the equivalent lace-up model (I couldn’t decide, so I bought both), and I slightly prefer these. The sizing is the same and both are comfortable, but these are quicker to take on and off and I can remove them without having to sit down, which is nice since these aren’t “in the house” shoes. The ankle is a bit higher which puts a slight pressure on your shin (at least when new), but it’s not uncomfortable and on the plus side means your ankles don’t get cold when the wind blows. The tread on both is great and hardly slips on ice when other people are having trouble. Both shoes are warm and overall I would say the lace-ups are better for hiking where you want the most support and don’t mind the extra time to put on/off, but these are better for running errands or dog walking, when the convenience of easy on/off is a bigger factor.

Great for Walking Through Wet Snow
Purchased them as a quick slip-on in the mornings when taking the dogs outside in the snow for a walk around the course. Keep your feet really dry even when walking through six inches or more of wt, heavy snow. Comfortable to walk a couple miles in. Only suggestion would be to order them 1 size larger than you normally wear as they take some effort to slip on, especially with thicker winter socks.

Overall I like them
I’ve owned these boots about one month and I’ve worn them about 20 times, usually in snow. They were uncomfortable on my ankles initially but they seem to be broken in now and are much more comfortable. They have been waterproof, as advertised, and relatively warm, unless I spend too much time in snow. They then feel slightly wet inside but are really only a bit cold. Overall, I like them.
Bad zippers
This is the second pair of zippered Merrell boots we have purchased. The first pair we purchased a couple years ago were taller and worked well. The zippers on these boots don’t work. We’ve tried everything - Vaseline and repeated up and down zipping. The zippers were sewn in so poorly that they catch at the top and won’t go up and down easily no matter what we try.
