Great for open-water kayaking (smooth and rough)

I have the Eddyline 12’ Sit-on-top kayak and I LOVE it. Mine weighs 50 pounds, 10 more than the 10-foot kayak. My seat is removable and I was able to upgrade to a better seat that doubles as a beach chair. I kayak with this on Hood Canal, a 300- foot wide fjord that has calm waters many mornings and white caps with 2-4’ swells many afternoons. This is a very stable kayak that can easily be climbed into after swimming. I was comfortable maneuvering in 2-foot swells, but would recommend that as the max for safety. Easy to lift and carry, but the 10-foot does weigh 40 pounds.
