Forget trail conditions. Equal parts XC pro and trail ace, the WTB Ranger Light tire isn't intimated. Tightly spaced center knobs set the pace while outer lugs devour corners and shed muck with ease.

- Substantial spacing between knobs makes room for mud to fling from the tire rather than cling to the tread
- Short knobs aplenty provide the traction of knobbier tires without the slow-rolling resistance of chunky knobs—ideal for XC or trail riding
- Standardized Tubeless Compatible System (TCS) nearly eliminates flats and allows lower tire pressures to improve traction and comfort over a traditional tubular tire
- TCS Light tubeless casing features 1 layer of casing to minimize rotational weight while increasing the overall liveliness of the tire
- SG2 puncture protection technology provides bead-to-bead coverage to ensure both the tread and sidewall are protected from slashes and punctures
- Dual DNA Compound delivers efficiency, traction and durability; fast-rolling centerline features firmer rubber while softer, slow-rebounding side knobs improve grip/control

Great all purpose roller—narrower than listed
Love the Ranger as a tire and have run variations of it on different bikes for years. This one is a looker w the tan sidewalks but measured at 2.25 on my calipers when installed and inflated on 28mm internal width rims. Measured a set of 2.25 rangers (also from REI) on the same rim and pressure and it measured 2.27. Anyways, still a great tire but maybe don’t expect it to come in at its listed width, if my experience is indicative.
