Bought 2 different colors, 1 only eVacs.
In the past I’ve used the 10L eVac compression sac and it’s worked great for my sleeping bag, so I bought the blue and black 35L dry bags. Planning to use for dirty laundry on our 3 week hiking road trip, between washes. I Tested as soon as I received them and only the black dry bag will slowly eVac the interior air, like it’s intended. The blue bag is not functioning correctly. I feel like the bag is going to burst at the seams just to get a minimal amount of air expelled. Will most likely be exchanging the bag for a new one. The working bag is great, and this is a great product. Love the replaceable clips and the material.
Sheds Water, Is Easily Compressible, and Versatile
I have the Zenbivy 10 degree Light Quilt in size large, and the 13L eVac dry bag is perfect for the quilt plus sheet plus liner! I had tried the non-eVac UltraSil version prior, and although it was the same size it took more than twice as long to stuff the quilt inside -- that bag just didn't let the air out very well at all. This one however lets me get my bed packed up in under 5 minutes, including deflating and folding my sleeping pad. The additional connection points for a carry strap mean it can double as a simple sling bag for quick jaunts away from base camp. It's a winner!
Evac Compression Dry Bag
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Exactly what I was looking for, not to bulky or large. Perfect to store in a small cranny of my Jeep Gladiator.
clasp problem
Great bag. Love Sea to Summit products but I’m having to return this bag to REI after one month because the clasp sticks terribly and won’t unhook. I’m going to try another one.
Versatility is Key-This Bag Delivers
I brought this bag on my recent biking/kayaking trip to Vietnam-initially I thought it would be my stuff sack for laundry. This bag's versatility far exceeded my expectations: It worked great as a dry bag kayaking, off the bike/walking around town backpack, to keep my beach items sand-free, and as storage for keeping my wet swimsuit and tevas separate from my dry clothes). I would definitely recommend it to other traveler's who look for versatile items to fill multiple functions!
Evac!
Great dry bags. Great when you don’t have a lot of room. The air evacuates through the bottom and compresses instead of being a balloon like most dry bags.
Oval bottoms for kayak loading efficiency
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased several of these bags in preparation for a wilderness kayaking trip next summer because they have oval bottoms. This allows the bags to stack, making more efficient use of sea kayak compartments below deck. I’ve used SeaToSummit dry bags in the past, which lasted several years of 12 months/yr paddling before needing to be replaced, so expect them to serve well. (In my present location, I plan to wait for ice free water to test them. )
Evac Dry Bag
I can't say enough good things about all of the Sea to Summit dry bags. I like the technology of the eVent that allows air to push out when you compress your clothes or sleeping bag. I go on many wilderness trips in a canoe or kayak. I was impressed the dry bags held up being roughly stuffed into a kayak during a 108-mile trip in the Everglades Wilderness Waterway. I have not had any issues with any of the bags.
Same quality as always!
At this point I probably own close to everyone of sea to summits dry bags and about 15 bags in total. In my opinion you can’t find a nicer dry bag. I specifically bough this bag here for backpacking and bikepacking. What a cool design in the method that it compresses and releases air out. I’ve already used the bag and they work great! Can’t wait to really test them on a big bikepack coming up.
The dry bag ROCKS!!
I used this dry bag all the time for 12 day trips that I lead in the Adirondack Mountains. It rained for 10 of the days on.my last trip and every thing I had was soaked... except the one set of clean clothes I had in this dry bag. I highly recommend this product especially of your looking to conserve space and weight. Also, the permeable bottom makes it sooooo easy to roll tight!
