Features

  • Unique Tension Ridge maximizes the livable space versus the footprint of the tent, offering more room around the head and shoulders
  • Tension Ridge allows for a wide vent at the highest point of the tent, helping minimize condensation build-up
  • Unlike most vent designs, the Apex Vent doesn't require a mesh panel to maintain tension across the fly, which allows for better airflow
  • Control airflow to manage humidity and condensation in wet conditions by opening or closing the Baseline Vents; face one vent into the wind for the most effective airflow
  • The inner mesh panels are engineered for maximum airflow while maintaining no-see-um and sandfly insect protection
  • Multiple configuration options means this tent adapts to the weather or your activity: try Fly Only Mode, Inner Only Mode, Dry Set-Up, Partial Fly Mode or Classic Mode
  • The unique Quick Connect Foot means in wet weather you can set the fly up first and take it down last to keep your inner dry

Nice tent but fly leaks

I purchased this tent in hopes to go bicycle touring with it with my wife, but I had heard some bad reviews about the fly leaking at the vent so when I got it home, I set it up on the front lawn on a rainy Sunday afternoon the conditions were rain with no wind And it rained on the tent for an hour or two and the water started to wick down the vent support And onto the zipper seam for the vent itself the next evening, I did notice some other leaks where the tent would fasten to the fly itself. Just an extra note: the upper vent was closed. The staff at REI was very helpful.

Fantastic tent for travel and backpacking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ikos - TR2 is a great tent with an awesome design and effective tarp. Two people are able to comfortably sit up in the tent because of the unique design allowing for ample headroom. A cargo loft keeps small items off of the tent floor, and the venting is appreciated. Lightweight and compact, it fits into a duffle bag, with sleeping bags, pillows, kitchen and clothing for two! Perfect for car or airplane travel.

Leaks through the airvent zip

Tent has a serious construction fault. The seams of the ventilation zip on top as well as water drips in via the strings that bind the tent flap. Seriously dissapointed.

Great tent, but failed to keep dry during storm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tent is built with amazing material, it is sturdy and looks very durable while also being fairly lightweight for it’s materials. I had read online that they had hd a water infiltration during a storm I. Patagonia while trying it out. I assumed the storm they had was something else and that it was not likely to happen here in the US. The first time I tried it out, we got stormy weather and a lot of rain - I was so excited to camp in the rain. But quickly, the water started coming in. We had a lot of rain, but it was a pretty standard storm for northern canada and Vermont . The rain came through the air vent (as pictured on one of the photos) and was leaking steady on our sleeping bags all night. We ended up having to place a towel (pic) under that closed and zipped vent to stop the leak. In the morning, there was a lot of condensation on the rain cover of the tent that was also leaking through the bug fly (which is the only fabric between un and the rain cover of the tent). No need to say I was disappointed. I have however contacted customer service and, as usual, STS service is incredible. They are currently evaluating the tent and will let me know in the upcoming week if it is a design fault or something with the specific tent I received.

Ikos Lightweight Tent - 2 person

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the tent and the footprint. I set it up in my living room to see how it’s done and then a week later took it out on its maiden adventure. My adult son and I shared it and it had just enough room for both of us without any gear. Set up is easy and I like how the footprint fits the shape exactly. I’ve never owned a tent this size so I don’t have anything to compare it with, but so far I'm very pleased with this tent.

Just Tara

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this tent on a gravel bike trip in Wyoming and Montana. I didn’t have to pack it on my bike-it was carried on a van. This tent is easy to set up. I loved that it has 2 doors and how spacious it is. It has lots of pockets for storage. Im happy with my purchase of this tent!

Excellent Design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lovely tent. Very nice design and so many well thought out features. Love the shape of the interior space, great sized 2 person tent. The zipper pulls are color coordinated and also different sized cordlette for finding the right zipper pull in the dark, smart. Very nice design for the ventilation and the fly, including the zipper vent up top. You can basically have this thing wide open on both sides and still catch 90% of the dew with the fly, nice! I will be excited to try this thing on a rainy trip.

Excellent family tent!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent has been super great for my wife and I and our 4 year old. Easy to bring along and set up, it's lightweight for a 3P tent, and has been great for our first 'camping' tent for family camping. I do lots of backpacking, so use smaller and lighter weight tents often, so I was nervous this would seem huge in packing size, but it's not too bad! A great family tent, and solid. I'm curious how it'll perform in some wind or rain, so we'll see. But so far, so good!

Beautiful tent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this tent after our lovely loyal LLBEAN 3 person needed to retire. It’s a great design, lots of headroom, handy inner pockets and loops, helpful colour coding. For some reason there was a leak happening during our first 2 outings. I reached out and true to their work a replacement fly was sent. I still wonder why the first one leaked, one of life’s mysteries I guess. Many thanks Sea to Summit for your support
