Easy on / off good support for a while
Bought these open back newport slides for house shoes / as some wear slippers. Like that using the bungee cord can adjust the size, good traction, easy on off, the support is good but not for very long. Used to get the Bali sandals, (so glad they brought them back), wanted a little more foot coverage. Wish they we're so expensive. Tried washing these to see if the support would return, did but only for a few days. One would hope for the price that the support would last longer, if these are anything like the Bali, the shoe will out last the bottom of shoe. In most shoes I buy based on length, and that is how I purchased these, fit was true.
Newports are a great fit
I was introduced to the Keen Newport over 10 years ago. At the time, the sales rep explained to me the difference in the foot beds and I have never looked back. I was excited to see a Newport slip on. I struggle with aging feet issues and having a good foundation for working around the house makes a big difference. While it seems to be true to size, I wonder if a half size bigger would be better for the slip on? I like my Newports because I can snug them onto my feet, but the snugness of the slip on toe makes it difficult to get my foot onto the footbed completely and hold it in place. I know this is a slip on issue, so I'm just wondering if a half size might help.
You failed with odor control
These smell so bad… PFAS FREE. NO FOREVER CHEMICALS. The Newport slide is everything I could have hoped for. It has a stable footbed, good foot protection and dirt does not get inside. I really really like them except for the horrible foot odor. Their innovative odor control is a failure. I wear them outside, but I shower every day. They should not be sweating my feet… They have ventilation. I do not wear them in the water and maybe that would have kept them from smelling so bad. Yes, they can be washed, but I have no doubt that will affect their longevity. I would have bought another pair or two in different styles but I have never had such a problem with foot odor as I have with these.
No more wide toe-boxes
Keen used to be known for the wide toe-box and now they’re just like the rest. I could be happy if they just added a newer narrower fit but they call this current version “original fit” /“regular width” when that’s a boldfaced lie, it is not the original width that so many of us came to love. I’ve held up the exact same size shoe up to its older counterpart to find the newer version is at least a finger’s width narrower in the whole toe box area. HIGHLY disappointing for those that actually take their Newport H2Os or hiking shoes hiking and want the width. Bottom line: if you came to rely ok Keen for their wider toe boxes, find a new favorite brand. It’s not your foot that changed, Keen did.
I love these sandals!
I love these sandals! I have a leg-length discrepancy, so I have to wear a lift in one of my shoes. I also have had several sports injuries to my knees and hips, falling arches, and one foot that over pronates and one that over supinates. All of which is to say that if I don't have the right shoes on my feet, I quickly develop pain and swelling. These sandals are so *excellent* and so perfect for my body. In warm weather, I use them as my house shoes because I can't comfortably go barefoot or wear flip flops. It's so convenient that they slip on and off easily, and can accommodate my heel lift. I also have a wider foot, and I am a half-size, and these are a perfect fit. Hurray! I highly recommend them.

Wanted to keep But
I wanted to keep these so bad. But felt like they were going to fly off my feet. I adjusted them many different ways I have several pairs of Newport H2 and love them. The men’s leather are the best. I wear men’s 7. Which is 8.5 in woman. I don’t think anyone should trust the reviews because they are literally off. Keen lets you wear them So order your size Try them. And they are not correct send them back free. Easy. I hope they come back with more colors of the men’s H2 LEATHER The foot bed is soooo soft and they fit me the best.
Mismatched
I need sandals with covered toes & the slide in style is exactly what I was looking for. I purchased during the Memorial Day Sale for a nice price. When the shoes arrived, even though they were great shoes, it was visible that the left shoe was wider than the right. Even with cinching tighter, it was still wide. I have narrow feet. They were nice shoes, but I was not willing to keep shoes I felt were mismatched. I found no way online to return the shoes as an exchange, so I simply returned them. They are again now at full price. I liked the shoes & loved the color. I needed them for the summer here in the mountains, but will do without them for now. I do have other Keen sandals that I have enjoyed & was disappointed these didn’t work out for me. Maybe next time…
Game changer!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE the Newport Slide! I have a closet full of Newport sandals and they are my go to whenever I'm going to be out and about doing a lot of walking. During the summer heat my feet swell a lot and then the ankle strap gets uncomfortable; but the slide solves that problem. Because the slide still covers most of your foot they provide the same support and stability as the traditional Newport. Thank you Keen - another winner!!
