Terrible Design — Even Worse Customer Service
Yakima customer service is the absolute worst. They did everything conceivable to avoid not only avoid fulfilling my warranty claim but even providing any assistance whatsoever. I had to contact them 4 times before they even first replied — 1 month later. Then they continually stalled, requiring photos and video — which they claimed they could not access — asking me to destroy the broken part (even though it was made of solid steel) before they would replace it. And this all without them even telling me if they could provide any troubleshooting instructions or if they would honor the warranty. This lasted over 2 months!
Heavy but helpful
Has only been out a handful of times but is so helpful out in the desert to keep cool. Helped shield from rain until the wind got too gusty to where it was too expensive to take the chance. Love the inside print and peak riser to run the rain down. Was awesome to hook a roll of paper towels at camp on a bungee overhead. Has to be rolled up pretty well to not sag in front of the door openings. Overall sturdy but we haven’t pushed it.
Missing screw. Was given duplicate of one screw and shorted another. Cannot assemble.
