These trek poles are light. Not the lightest but still light. The handle is a little small. Perfect for women hands. I purchased these fory wife and she loved them. We used these poles to trek down the Kaibab trail and then up the Angel Bright Trail in the Grande Canyon. Poles are light, sturdy , and very strong. We highly recommend them for long hikes.
Nice quality. The adjustable levers are well designed compared to Black Diamond. Purchased a pair and noticed the length artwork marks on one pole was about 1/2" off compared to the other. Annoyance when in a rush to extend&go. REI cashier at Colorado Springs put up a hassle but eventually conceded the exchange for a pair which was evenly matched lengths. Other than that QC issue, they're quite good and well thought out.
Great pair of poles for about 400 miles and the tips wore out, I attempted to replace them and couldn’t get them off so I took them into Rei’s tech shop and both poles were broken in an attempt to remove the tips. I was able to exchange them because I only had them for a few months but it seems like a major design flaw that the tips are so difficult to remove you have to break them to get them off so maybe these work for a casual hiker but I was pretty disappointed I had to get a new pair of poles for my thru hike even if they were replaced for free.
Fantastic balance of loghtweight design and sturdiness. The lower sections are aluminum, and the rest is carbon fiber. The handle caps are also the best design I've seen.
