Poor quality
I'm not confident in the durability of these socks. After the first wear, I found a large hole in the ankle gusset of the grey socks. Sort of light weight, but leads me to question its lifespan
Not happy w/ material. Came w/ hole.
I thought Brooks would be a good brand for socks (as I own their Adrenaline shoes), but these were so poor quality! I got them on sale. They don't feel that padded nor supportive. It became loose after one wear and one wash (cold water temp + tumble dry low). In fact, the grey/purple pair came with a hole. So disappointing.
The best sock I found for running marathons and long runs
I use these on long runs and then tried them on my last marathon. Tried smart wool, plain cotton, features and some other brands. These socks didn't rub, chaff and cause blisters like the others. Some of the brands like features put their toe seem on the side. This seem bunches at a single point and for me after 10 miles or so digs in to the side of my big toe this causeing blisters and raw skin. I didn't have any hotspots from uneven seems with these ghost lites. They also work well in heat. The marathon finished with a temperature in the low 90s. I wasn't sloshing around in my own sweat like I've experienced with cotton socks.
No Show, All Glow: The Unsung Hero of Your Run Kit
Let’s be honest, socks rarely get the spotlight. But the Brooks Ghost Lite No Show 2-Pack? They deserve a standing ovation (or at least a blister-free run). From the first wear, these socks feel like a gentle hug for your feet. The targeted arch compression is just right. Not too tight, not too loose and the light cushioning under the heel and toe gives you that extra bounce without bulking up your shoe. Whether you're logging miles or on your feet all day, they hold their shape and keep you cool thanks to breathable mesh zones and odor-resistant fabric2. After multiple mile test runs, they’ve proven their worth. No blisters, no swampy feet, and no annoying slippage. Even after multiple washes, they stay soft and snug. Pros: Strategic cushioning where it counts Arch support that actually supports, especially for someone with flat feet! Breathable, odor-resistant, and durable Low-profile design that stays put
Sizing is great!
I liked they’re sized in a short range, making for a better fit. I’d like for them to have less Stitching but they fit great and are nice to walk around in without shoes.
Big hole after less than THREE MONTHS
I purchased these and in less than three months, big hole! Unhappy with purchase. I am not an avid runner, maybe a few miles every few days so this was a quality issue.
Kept the socks, but they are not super light. Dry quickly yet not featherweight. Must be the padding. They do show.
Sock has a hole already
My sock already has a hole and it’s on the top of the sock. I’ve worn them once. 😞
Buy!
These are the best running socks I’ve ever used.
I found my brand after a long search!
For years I have been looking for a women's running sock in size large! The only choices are typically one-size fits all, or only smalls and mediums. My shoe size ranges from 10 to 11 depending on the brand, so I need a size large sock. They shrink a bit after washing but are still fairly easy to put on. The shrinking mainly affects the ankle part of the sock, making it somewhat tight, which is the only negative. I also appreciate the thinner fabric for summer weather.
