Great for truck bed camping!

This sleeping bag is very roomy for my wife and I, for size ref. I am 6'1" 215lbs my wife is 5'7" 160lbs. This is Not a sleeping bag for back packing lol, it's almost 10lbs and it has a stuff bag that amazingly holds all of it. My wife and I have a truck bed tent, with an inflatable mattress in the back we toss the Kelty double wide on top and a couple of inflatable pillows and we are set up for bed time. It is nice and fluffy, the inside blankets are nice, for warmer nights you can unzip the bag and use them for less insulation or if its cooler zip up with an extra layer. We used it several time s last year in temps down to 35-37F and we were comfortable. Bonus was the head hood on the sleeping bag we found helps keep our inflatable pillows from falling off of the mattress during the night.

Spacious but cold

I purchased this for a camping trip in October where we’d be staying in an Adirondack shelter. It was rated for 20 degrees so I figured it would be fine. The bag was spacious and comfortable but even on a sleeping pad and with three layers of clothing, my husband and I were shivering in 37 degree weather and ended up leaving at 1 in the morning. I’d definitely recommend this for warmer weather camping but the temperature rating of 20 is absolutely false.

Problem Solver - Well designed and warm

My partner and I have been trying to find solutions to our car camping problems, since we have too many different layers and end the night with half our bedding crumpled at the bottom of the car, or I steal his blanket! This one has an UNSTEALABLE blanket! I love how versatile this is, and it's so nice we've been using it at home while it's below freezing! Highly recommend, cannot sing the praises of this bag enough. The only flaw is the bag is tight, I may just make my own, or pack some straps for easy packing up, because she is a BEAST!

Works great for couples, even tall folks

Fits two people comfortably (6'1 and 5'4). Double zipper is nice if one person runs hot and other person doesn't. Fits perfectly on Exped megamat double sleeping pad

kept us warm on the first camping trip

I bought this sleeping bag knowing that this is not the spend the night on grandmas floor sleeping bag. I thought the price was high but understood why I was buying it. It all felt worth it when the temperature on my first night camping EVER was down into the 40’s which happens to be the low point for this sleeping bag and me and my son both stayed warm and he even took off his shirt saying he was hot. So great sleeping bag. For one or even two people

Exceeded expectations, held up to the 30F at JT-NP

My first review and my first double sleeping bag. Its fantastic! Took it up to Joshua Tree NP and it was 30 degrees F at night with high winds and it stood up to the challenge excellent! I am 5'5 and partner is 5'7 and it fit both of us and our dog (in the middle) easily and with plenty of room all around. The blanket feature is a incredible innovation, not just for adding warmth but how its cut in the middle and attached to the side makes it easy to get in and out of the sleeping bag and customize to each person's preference. The design of the head area kept our pillows in place. I was skeptical and worried this sleeping bag would not meet technical challenge of the cold of JT and being comfortable for two people but it exceeded expectations. Only down side, though i don't have another double sleeping bag to compare, is how large it is when rolled up and packed. Its defintely bigger than my nemo backpacking sleeping bag, so this is definitely for car camping. For storage I can unzip and remove the top and fold each piece seperately when stored and just zip it up and pack it up when I go camping again.

Best Two Person Sleeping Bag!

After a lot of research, I decided on the Kelty Doublewide Sleeping Bag, and it turned out to be one of the best camping gear purchases I've made. I wanted a sleeping bag that could comfortably fit two people while still allowing each person to adjust their side to their own comfort level, and this bag delivered exactly that. For reference, I'm 5'0" and 130 lbs, my partner is 5'8" and over 200 lbs, and we also had our small dog sleeping with us. There was plenty of room for all three of us without feeling cramped. One of our favorite features was the separate blankets and dual side zippers. My partner tends to sleep hot, while I deal with restless legs and like more flexibility when I sleep. The design allowed each of us to customize our side of the bag, making it easy to stay comfortable throughout the night. We also used it on a night that dropped to around 30–35°F, and we stayed warm without needing to wear extra layers. I prefer sleeping in lightweight clothing, and I was able to do that comfortably while still staying warm all night. The only minor drawback I found was the hooded pillow pocket area. It didn't accommodate two larger pillows very well, though I think it would work fine with two smaller camping pillows. Overall, if you're looking for a sleeping bag that comfortably fits two people with different sleeping preferences and performs well in cold weather, I highly recommend the Kelty Doublewide. It exceeded my expectations and was absolutely the right choice.

Great for car camping

Really comfortable sleeping bag. Quality is exceptional. The thing is really big, and not packable/compressible, so be aware of the size. Slept well in 35ish degree weather in Colorado, but the bag is so big that there was room left over and it was hard to warm the bag up and not let heat escape. Overall really happy with the purchase as a car camping bag.
