Great bra, pretty design, true to size
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] New bra for new thru-hike. Wanted something pretty and new that would work well with backpack and sweat. Pads are easily removable. Fits true to size. Looks cute. I like the bit of design on it. I've been able to put on and take off with no difficulty. It has a little bit of 'give' to it that helps, but plenty supportive. I bought it for hiking, but has stood up to treadmill running with my C cup size. Easy wash, quick to dry at home. Haven't had it in the backcountry yet, but have no doubts knowing it is Smartwool. Makes me confident that the sweat will wick, contain odors, wash out easy, and dry quickly. #sweepstakes because I would love to win!
Comfy low impact bra
I was in the market for a new sports bar that would hold up to fire assignments and long days of sawing. I was a little worried when I looked at the sizing because I'm a 34F and I was worried that a large would be too small. I was so relieved when I tried it on and it was plenty roomy. It's a little too roomy for trail running, but a medium would probably be too tight to breath. The fit is a little weird; the straps are longer than I need. It might not be ideal for high impact activities, but it is very comfy for a long day running a saw. I would buy it again just because its comfy enough to sleep in, but supportive enough for a long day on the fire line.
Very comfortable for hot weather outdoors
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this bra and the strappy bra version - love them both. This is probably a little more supportive. The peach whip color on me (fair skin, sunburn before tanning) is less noticeable under light-colored shirts than the sandstone color. FYI - I am a 36F, post lift surgery. I bought XL. I wouldn't try to use these bras for running, but I use for cycling and they are comfortable. Yes - some uniboob due to design and material stretch/compression but more noticeable to me looking down than someone looking at me. I tend to wear loose-fitting shirts, which helps.. I took out the removable pads and use silicone nipple covers as I don't need any extra padding.
Not everyone is a skinny minnie
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't wear synthetic fabric or super-tight things, so I not only invest a lot in quality wool items but struggle to find a good bra. I love everything about this bra EXCEPT the fact that it will never fit me. I am between size 14 and 16; even in the XL this bra's band is only 38". I ordered it anyway in hopes that there was some give, but was sorely disappointed. There was an attempt to console me by drawing my attention to their plus-size line, but it only offers base layers. If I happen to win the #sweepstakes I will have to spend it all on socks - I do love their socks, I just wish more of their high-quality items were made for the other half of human beings.

Dimensions on strap have changed
I am a wildland firefighter and I wear smartwool bras, underwear, liner socks and boot socks and have been buying the items that I have found that work for me in my line of work for 5 years. I am very disappointed in this new version of this sports bra. I have 2 previous versions all size large and this one has too long of a strap. I am tall 5'10" and have large breast so I never have the issue of something being too long. Smartwool, please look back on the previous 2 versions of this sports bra to get the dimensions right. I need your quick wicking anti microbial properties but this bra won't work out for me.

Thank you
I held off buying this bra in previous years due to reviews that the straps were too short. I started seeing reviews that the straps were too long this past year so I bought a few. So glad I did. These are the most comfortable bras I have ever worn. I typically hate bras but I can wear these smartwool sport bras all day without noticing them. They don't smell, rub, or cause a rash - even if don't wash them often. I have limited range of motion so I appreciate the flexibility of this bra as I have no issues getting it on or off. One critique is that the padded cups don't stay in place at all so I just remove them. I wish there were more colors as I would buy this bra in more colors.
Yes!!!
I have had several merino sports bras over the years, including past Smartwool ones, and this is far and away the best fit. For active pursuits any season where I will be sweating (backpacking, mountaineering, skiing) I will only use merino bras. Better moisture regulation than any synthetic which is great in summer and lifesaving in winter. This one doesn't have quite as much merino as I'd like but still better than synthetic and the tradeoff is they finally dialed in the fit. Please don't change it again, this is the one! The old version of this was too short and pulled up. The strappy version had uncomfortable hardware on the straps that slipped. This is the winner. Don't hesitate!
Very comfortable for sports
I was surprised by how comfortable this bra is, especially during sports activities. And not totally flattening like some sports bras. The sizing chart was a bit misleading, as I ordered a Medium, had to return it, and ordered a Large. (Thank you for the easy return policy.) And even though I wear an A cup, the Large fits, with or without the removable cups. (I've been wearing it without.) Once I got the size right, I was happy. I give only 4 stars however, because after wearing it for the first time I developed a slight skin irritation in the middle of my back (nowhere else), possibly from sensitivity to the wool content. I'm keeping an eye on that, hoping I will not have to return this one.
Buying a 2nd - maybe a 3rd
So in all other Smartwool products , I am a med. however I wear a large in sports bras , all brands including this one. I am a 34C. Straps on sports bras usually feel too tight and pull on my shoulders. So I go a size up. I wore this sports bra to my kickboxing class. I knew I was sweating a lot cus my tshirt was wet (non smartwool) - came home and my sports bra felt dry. I also wore the underwear size med hipsters and pants so so comfy , also flattering and seemed to not be that sticky feel after a work out . anyway, I love it all. (I am 5'0 -138 or 140lbs on the weekends)
Comfortable, low impact bra
I have been trying to find a wool bra that keeps me warm and dry during winter sports like xc skiing and snow shoeing. This bra does keep me more dry than a synthetic bra, but it unfortunately still feels more damp than I'd like. I wear smart wool baselayers and love the wicking properties, just can't seem to find a bra that wicks as well. Overall though, it's a good bra for low impact activities, sty's drier than full synthetic and doesn't stink after multiple wears. Hoping to one day find the holy grail of a bra that doesn't stay cold and clammy once it gets sweaty.
