Women’s Medium/Narrow sizes are designed with an A–B width; that's the narrower last from Birkenstock, but is equivalent to a women’s regular width by industry standards.

Beautiful but came damaged/defective.
Just received these and they are BEAUTIFUL. Unfortunately after trying them on the little loop at the back of the boot (to help pull your heel into the shoe) either broke immediately or was already broken. For a $200 pair of shoes this is beyond ridiculous and disappointing. No REI stores around me have this shoe in stock so I would have to return it and then order another pair which is fine, but again, just really inconvenient.
I wasn't the first person to have these.
My hubs ordered these for Christmas for me. He asked if I wanted them early, which OMG(=, but when I opened the box, they were laying on top of the tissue paper. That paper tissue stuffing that gets stuffed inside shoes was smashed against them. all tags tossed off in the box. That feeling when you just paid full price for item and open to see your seconds or possible thirds. I don't know if this item was returned or just tried on in store. They do have scuffs on them. It's not bad, just enough to make me feel like I just paid full price for a used item. At the moment, I'm debating keeping them and ordering from Birkenstock itself. -- Jana Reed

These arrived in clearly not new condition - scuffed up and in an obviously old/used box.
Almost perfect—need regular/wide
Almost perfect but only offered in narrow, so had to return because my foot just wasn’t going to be happy—super comfy otherwise. Good lock on heal, comfortable walking transition, can get on and off without too much difficulty. Please stock in women’s sizes in the regular/wide width and I’m buying!
If you love Birkenstock sandals…
Awesome boots! I’ve worn these everyday since I bought them a week ago- they broke in easily and my feet stayed dry while biking in the rain two days. I’ve worn Birkenstock sandals for years and these are my first closed toe shoes from them. They’re very supportive and well made- so far I’m happy!
Exceeded expectations
After wearing these all winter, I have to say, these are the perfect Chelseas. I was initially wary of getting the medium/narrow, as my feet are too wide to comfortably fit in the footbed of birkenstock sandals, but I did not have that problem with these shoes, as the footbed doesn't curve up as rigidly as the sandals do. I still have plenty of room for thick winter socks and my toes have room to breathe. I absolutely love these shoes. They are so beautiful, well made, and it did feel a bit strange at first with the foot bed (kinda lumpy) but after about a week then softened out to mold to my foot. I love the versatility of this shoe and how easy it is to put on. It goes with almost every outfit. Great city shoe.
