They nailed it with this jacket!

I am super stoked with the performance, comfort and looks of this jacket! It does well in the PNW with the heavy, wet snow conditions we have often. This shell protects you from the cold wind but is still comfortable on the spring skiing days! I've done some hikes with my OR grid fleece on underneath the Hemispheres || and together they breathe well and prevent moisture buildup inside. I've used OR products for many different purposes. Such as their gloves while serving in marine corps infantry, grid fleece tops while BASE jumping/skydiving and ski gear in the PNW. I've always been impressed with their design and durability. Thanks for making great gear OR!

Top-notch Waterproof Shell- highly recommend

I've been very impressed with this jacket so far. Every part feels high quality. The zippers are robust and perfect with a smooth and sturdy feel. Some of the online photos made the neck area seem a little bulky and awkward, but it's just right in reality. I'm a big fan of the stretch panel for both style and function. I've used this so far to protect myself on the waterways while riding on small boats. Winds, rain, and salt spray are no match for the Hemispheres II. I'm 6'2" 175lbs and the Medium fits perfectly for me, allowing room for layers without looking baggy. I highly recommend this jacket and this company. I've always had a good experience with customer service.

Not a serious jacket

You've got to be kidding me! Who thought the uninsulated stretch panel on the back was a good idea? I spent the day skiing in the jacket today and it's going right back to REI. Even with the OR puffy underlayer there was a jet of cold air going down my back all day and simply put, I froze (and it wasn't even that cold a day). Granted, I got pretty wet on the ascent - not uncommon when working hard. This is just a poor design. Sorry OR. I've owned a lot of your garments over the years and I keep buying them. This one just needs to go back to the drawing board.

Bomb proof

I bought this jacket after numerous other OR jackets and glad I did. I'm 6' 180lbs and got the large to be able to layer easily and have Olea toy of sleeve length over gloves. I'm a Colorado adventurer and wear this snowboarding the big resorts and Silverton backcountry. Also wear snowmobiling and sledding with the kids. Will never need another jacket, high quality product. Only challenge was that sippers were sticking but a little chapstick and they slide like butter. Love how beefy the zippers are.

Perfect fit

I'm 6' 155 and the size medium is perfect for me, long enough, it feel just right. I have the arcteryx sabre also but find the Hemisphere 2 more comfortable, I can't believe I said that but it's true. It's because the 3L goretex used by OR is closer to a softshell but realy feel like it's bombproof, you need to wear it to undestand. Finally the finish on every details is flawless. Overall, I think that OR did a realy great job with the hemisphere 2 and would recommand to anyone.

Oui oui oui

Very good quality jacket! Use it under heavy rain and not wet at all.it’s by far the best jacket I own, for hike, touring or just a day in town, i got the black that’s make him universal. Im a tall 6pi and slim 140lbs women and i took the size small in men. The size is perfect the sleeves are long enough (which is very rare for me). I highly recommend this jacket. Got him from an warranty claim, OR have the best warranty products. So just positive comments on my side.

Best Jacket I've Ever Used

This is the best ski jacket I've used. It's lightweight and extremely durable. It layers perfectly with a lightweight puffy and base-layer underneath, and is perfect for either storm days in the resort or big tours in the backcountry. The fit has gotten better and better over the years too. This fits true to size and doesn't have the short boxy look that some other jackets do. This will be my go-to jacket this season and for years to come!

Stellar Quality

This jacket is made with extremely high quality. I have worn it 10 times so far, both on resort and in the backcountry. I think my favorite things about this jacket is the built in stretch. Love the color scheme. The only think I would add is a pocket on the sleeve for things like a goggle wipe. I am 5'7" 160 and got a Medium which fits how I want, but could also probably do a small for a more tailored fit. Highly recommend.

for the price I would have expected some better features

For the price of this jacket I would have expected a slightly thicker shell, and a few more features like thumb gaiters, and a powder skirt. Fit is a little intersting, based on reviews I went for the large, arms are longer while the waist is tighter combined with the length its a little odd. I am typically a large in everything I have plenty of OR jackets and am a large but I wish i went with an XL in this.

Best Jacket yet!

I have the jacket and matching bibs, by far the most comfortable shell combination I have ever worn. The stretch and flexibility is my favorite part about these garments. Yes they are waterproof and keep you dry in all manner of mountain environments (and a hike in a coastal monsoon) but other jackets can do that as well. It is the comfort that really sets this apart. Well executed and excellent quality.
