6' 170lbs, 44" chest. Medium fits perfect with plenty of room for layers. I comfortably wore a hoody underneath and it did not feel tight. Armpit zips are perfect bedside I'm constantly outside then inside all day. Hood is big enough for helmet which happens to work because I rock climb, don't really do winter sports. I love the sleeve zipper, it's got a dope inside pocket on the right side and other compartment here and there. Above all it looks really good and I enjoy the fit a lot. Took a risk because there are no reviews anywhere but it was on sale and the pics looked good.
I ordered this because the zipper was starting to fail on my last heavy jacket, made by another company. Literally picked it up yesterday from the PO, and the zipper on my old one broke this morning. Didnt plan to move into it so fast, but i was forced. I ride a scooter to work, and it was 24 degrees this morning. Im exceptionally pleased with the warmth and wind resistance. Love the wrist gaitors, too. Wish the hand pockets and inside pocket were a little deeper and roomier. Thats the only reason i didnt give it a 5. Great jacket and fits as advertised.
As a middle aged man , I have had many jackets over the years to compare. This one is good , not great... A few details could have been improved upon with little added expense. The biggest issue is fill , NOT 700 ... I've had a 400 fill that was fuller than this, it is warm , but again could be better. The pit zips don't have mesh liner to prevent snow from getting in. Forearm sleeve pocket is obstructed by an internal stitch that renders this obsolete for anything other than a lip balm , I'm assuming this is a quality control issue.
Well made and very warm. I actually ha e two of them: one women's jacket that I use for alpine skiing when it's very cold, and one men's version (I wanted it oversized for walking our dogs in cold weather). Both are sized appropriately and are very functional. I don't like that it's real down but it was a good buy.
I got this new jacket right in the midst of a good ol upper Midwest cold snap that had windchills down to -22f. This jacket made doing chores way more bearable than my old drafty coat. Love it so far, my wife likes to steal it though.
I work in Northern Saskatchewan where it gets very windy and cold. The jacket is very durable and can withstand the cold. I highly recommend if you work during the winter months outdoors or for winter sports activities
Most down jackets are not waterproof and you end up needing another layer. specially in the pacific Northwest. This jacket is the solution to that. Warm and comfortable. Good zippers, pockets and ventilation.
Solid construction and fits well! The jacket is warm and comphy to wear. Also has good length in the arms which is nice when other brands seem to think everyone has weirdly short arms.
It seems like it'll be a warm coat for skiing. I've had good luck with other OR gear, and their customer service has always been good for me.
Perfect for the PNW. Lightweight. Stretches. Keeps you dry and is easy to put on a base layer. Fits to size as well. Would recommend
