Most incredible shorts I’ve ever worn
I cannot believe the comfort of these. Unlike the other reviewer, I absolutely love the elastic waist band. No more slipping off after stretching out from walking and sweating.
Looks good and lightweight
Tried these on in store. It can be hard to find a longer length short that looks good. These are amazing! They hug the curves so more flattering on but have flexibility and feel airy and light. I like the pocket details. I like a shorter shirt with it so you can see the waist instead of the long shirt the model is wearing.
My new favorite shorts!
I happened upon these in the sale rack at REI over the weekend and although I *thought* I probably didn't need any shorts all the pockets intrigued me so I decided to try them on. The second I pulled them on I knew I had to buy these. They are incredibly comfortable and the look and fit are perfect. Although some reviewers seem to dislike the elastic waistband I actually like it and doesn't look look bad like some elastic waistbands do. I'm so glad I tried these on! New favorites! I'm wearing them now!
Elastic waistband
If you look at this product on the NRS website, there’s one extra picture. It’s a picture of the waistband, which is elastic on the sides and entire back of the shorts. No thank you. I have other guide shorts from NRS that I love and they do not have an elastic waistband. I returned these shorts as soon as they were delivered.
Super Comfortable!
Love the stretch of the material, super comfy waistband. Can’t wait to get out on the river come summer!
Most comfortable and versatile shorts I’ve had.
Bought these shorts because they were so soft and fit incredibly well. Lots of stretch but not cheap and thin. Lots of pockets and the leg length was perfect (so many women’s shorts are way too short for not so perfectly shaped active women) Bought a second pair, really wanted a different color but that wasn’t available ☹️ I usually wear size 16 but the 14 fit great.
Disappointing
Shorts did not fit well and returned them; cut was not normal; very disappointed
Very comfortable ahorts
The shorts are light and comfortable. The majority of the waistband is elastic but the front has a snap and zipper - they aren’t elastic all the way around. I wish there were more colors, I’d buy every one!

I loved the soft material but the length was a bit longer than I like
