Hard charging splitboard
As a splitboard guide in northwest British Columbia I spend a lot of days out on my split board. I wanted a split board that was efficient on the up track and powerful on the descent, and this board it it. The board itself is incredibly light, making kick turns is an absolute breeze, but never feels flimsy. Stomping big drops on hard pack landings never feels as though the core might snap. Now my favorite thing about this board is a wide turning radius combined with the stiffness of it. Combine that with the phantom hercules clips and i would honestly rail turns on hard pack with this over most of my resort boards any day, this board charges. Point it downhill and she just takes off. Perfect for highspeed big alpine missions railing huge turns on a bluebird day in steep blower pow.
Great board
nice carbon version split, climbing is way better than my old burton hth split. side cut radius is larger than my regular resort board but after getting used to it, the board feels really nice. also the phantom Hercules clips are very tight and make it flex less.
So far soooo gooood
They don’t call it the G.O.A.T for nothing! This board is light… like really light. I’m 6’2 weighing 180 and went with the 158. Let me tell you I’m glad I did. Less weight, lighter skins, no noticeable difference in the powder from my old 162. It feels like I was born with it on my feet, and I can’t say that about all boards. So far I’m still on the factory wax and keeping up with the skiers on the flats. Cardiff and BD really got everything right on this one! Oh yeah, and Literally every time I’ve taken this board out I’ve gotten complements on the graphics.
This board rips
The title says it all. Such a fun and powerful board. Rides everything from trees to powder to steep stuff incredibly well. So light and such a joy on the skin track. I love this board and can't wait for many more great moments with it.
Amazing board
I have now tested it for a full week in the Chic Chocs trying it in various conditions and, oh man, what a great board. I weigh 200lb and got the 158cm. I calculated the effective edge area and the 158cm had more surface than my old Jones Solution 161 (it might be the same if you take into account the bigger nose on the Jones). As I anticipated it's a weightless and quick to turn in tight glades and featherlight to skin up the slopes. Cut back up the trail is easy with the skis always tipping upward. My main concern was floatability since I was at the extreme of recommended sizing. In fresh, not too deep powder (it's Eastern Canada after all) floating was not a problem at low speed and I just felt once my nose dipping under for the 5 days I was on it. Another important point is the quality of the board. I did manage to hit a rock with my edge but it seems they took extra care to have edges resisting such impacts without moving a bit.
Light and Damp Mountaineering Board
Best board I’ve ever ridden. I took the Cardiff version off the summit of Mt Rainier and it held its own in blue ice, wind buff, corn, and mashed potatoes. Compared to my Solution, it’s much more damp and playful. Haven’t ridden in powder yet, but I’m sure it’s fantastic given it’s width.
Sturdy and great ride
I used this board in some extreme terrain, involving rappelling into lines and out, and it handled excellent. I felt confident on it in that I wouldn't fall in no fall zones. It is also very lightweight
Best splitboard I’ve ridden
Soft, holds an edge, and floats. It rides pow like a powder board, but still rides chunder like an all-mountain board.
Amazing
This board is amazing I sold the one I add because I didn’t like it. wow the GOAT is so much better , just perfect
Escape sticks
Great tool for breaking from the chaos and getting a slice of your own peace. Stiff, light, responsive
