I am in love with these shoes. I bought them last spring for a trip to Alaska and I'm so glad I did because they have become a staple in my wardrobe. They are very insulated without making my feet too hot in warm weather. They have a wide toe box which makes them SUPER comfortable. Literally no break in period at all they were very comfy right out of the box. I've worn them so many times in gross weather and they still look like new. Perfect for hiking and even better for midwest winters. I am normally a size 6.5-7 and I got these iin a 6.5 and they fit perfectly. They are pricey when not on sale but they feel very durable and like they will last a long time.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband got a version of these last year and talked me into them. There really wasn’t even a break in period. They just fit and were comfortable. I hiked 8 miles the week after getting them and they were great. I did have to tighten the laces a few times but nothing monumental and no bruises. Super great grip on the bottom. Held to the rocks and wet surfaces great. Love the Goretex. Kept my feet dry. I have the higher top and my husband has the lower cut and we like both. I prefer my hiking boots higher and these were great.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like these... out of the box comfort initially. I sometimes struggle not having a wide enough toe box (the rest if my foot isn't wide) and these were great. I have several pairs of shoes from Adidas, mostly the Ultraboost line, and I consistently wear 7.5. These do feel about a half size too long, but in afraid they'd feel too tight ordering down. Perhaps a thicker sock next time. Other than that they were pretty comfortable to wear right out of the box though, after about 3 mi, the upper inside of the back ankle/Achilles area started to feel really tender. I had to continue on another ¾ mile afterward, and the next day, that area did still feel a little sore.. again, maybe thicker socks next time... I wore a traditional hiking sock for the first time. Otherwise, they kept my feet warm and dry hiking through snow!
Bought these for my 9 year old daughter and she loves them. She normally wears a 4 in kids, so I had to get a little creative getting these. A 5.5 in women’s is the same as a 4 in kids. They don’t make high performance shoes for kids, and she’s going to be hiking the outlaw 100 half marathon and needed something with comfort. Well, these are them. My daughter says it is imperative that you wear high socks with these as they will rub your shin raw.
The Gortex fabric does the job in wet conditions. Excellent on rainy days or hikes with water crossings. Just make sure to hang dry or sun dry after or else the shoes have a moldy smell. The boost keeps my feet happy throughout my hikes or walks at the park. I strongly suggest Adidas to improve the glue on the back heel of the shoes to be stronger. In addition, the treadwear of the Continental soles to be more durable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s been a while since I done some hiking but booked a holiday to Wales with a few walks planned. Knew I wanted new footwear and didn’t know where to start but quickly found Adidas offering a range. I also left it fairly last minute to order but found the order arrived quickly. Shoe itself was exactly what I was looking for! Boot / trainer type look, super comfortable (didn’t even need breaking in!), waterproof and good grip. Its first outing was the Four Falls walk where I was wearing these for around 4 hours / 10km. Next day Pen Y Fan which was around another 3 hours / 7.5km. After both hikes my feet were absolutely fine, blister free and ready to go again. Support also felt good, had no issues with my ankles or feet arches which I do sometimes get with other footwear. I’m usually a size 5 and possibly have a slightly wide feet, found the size 5.5 fitted me best.
Lightweight boots with plenty of cushioning. Definitely good for keeping a spring in my step on long hikes. Goretex lining is good for British weather and they are rugged enough for some tough terrain ( not stiff enough for real mountain walks). I have taken them on long hikes in the Yorkshire dales and lakes and they have done well. They did take a bit of breaking in, that' not a criticism just a warning.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been searching for the perfect cushiony, waterproof hiking boot and finally found it! Comfortable right away, solved my foot pain, and performs well on all terrain. Excellent grip and plenty of toe space. Love how soft and secure it is around the ankle. This is the happiest I've ever been with a pair of hikers. Have yet to test them out on a week long thru hike, and I'm confident they'll be great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wore them for a camping/hiking trip and was very disappointed by the materials and design. Supportive and waterproof however I feel like they’re not breathable. Water condensation formed and showed watermarks where shoes creases were formed during a four hike. Once I changed, my sock were very wet which was not expected especially in colder temps. Very disappointed in this purchase
The quality of the boots is good, but the sizing runs small. I have regular feet (female, size 8), and even after sizing up half a size (male boots to 8,5), they still feel a bit tight. I could have gone up another half or full size for a more comfortable fit, especially if planning to wear thicker socks.
