It’s almost good
Love the color, kingpin suspension and SmartSense - but the XS is supposed to fit some between 4’10” to 5’4”. I’m 5’4” and no way to fit this bike unless you cut the seat post - which REI would not do for me. 45 tires are overkill. Light bracket makes it so that using the Garmin Edge Explore 2 Power Mount way off-center. Does not come with a mounting bracket for the Varia radar. Saddle is awful. Was improperly assembled with the battery stuck in the cradle. Was not provided the USB-C charging cable. But the store called me asking me to return it after I returned the bike. Came with a cracked flimsy fender though. Wish it had a better groupo.
Highly recommended
Review below is ridiculous, so I thought I'd weigh in to even the score a bit. The Topstone 2 is very fast, with geometry that is fitting for both paved surfaces and gravel. I've even done some single track on it. The bike just begs to go fast! Handling is very responsive, and I'd say it leans closer to twitchy than stable. A lot different ride from my enduro mountain bikes to say the least. Superb for speed in the flats, quick uphill, fun going down. The components have been flawless... brakes are reliable and shifting is crisp and instantaneous. Sometimes I'll shift down and can't even feel the chain switching gears beyond the tension changing. This is honestly one of the most fun bikes I've owned. (Maybe I'm enjoying it more because I'm not fretting compatibility with a bunch of useless aftermarket junk... just get out and ride your bike for crying out loud!)
