I ride in PNW. My last bike was a Niner RIP 9. My biggest concerns before I bought the bike were how well it will climb. It’s an enduro bike but I didn’t want to carry the bike to top of the mountain. Second concern was the “gravity cavity”; basically how easy would it be to clean the bike and keep the frame clean. I’m extremely happy with the bike. It climbs really well for a 34lb bike. I’d say no worse than my RIP9. Geometry is very well sorted. Secondly, drive train is not noisy at all. Even in the biggest cog. Coming down the mountain is a blast. It’s playful, and quite agile and yet feels planted when you want it to and goes fast! Very confident inspiring. As far as the gravity cavity is concerned. It’s not an issue so far and it’s been easy to clean. This is a great bike and with the clearance sale, it’s better than anything else out there.
It’s great coming down, as it should be. Not mediocre, but great! The biggest surprise has been how well it climbs for an enduro rig. The chain and high pivot design doesn’t make any extra noise and it’s efficient. I’m not sure about the gravity cavity just yet, but will know in next few weeks. So far it’s been easy to clean
