Micro USB headlight

Nice and bright with lots of flashing patterns. Really wish both lights were USB-C charge-able. Micro USB is almost obsolete and I wish I didn't have to keep a micro cable around for this.

Nice lights but front light disengages easily

Lights are very nice. Attach easily to bike. Haven't figured out how to get strobe on front light. I am also having a problem with the front light falling off of my bike during my rides. The slightest touch will disengage the light. Sometimes I don't even think I have touched it and it falls off. Maybe mine is defective. Would be willing to try a different NiteRider front light without this railing system.

Careful both are not USB-C

I love the tail light. It's very bright, great battery life and USB-C. The post mount is very secure. The headlight is a different story, The size, mount, lumens are all excellent however it's USB-A. If I knew this I wouldn't have bought the combo. NiteRider makes other headlights that are USB-C and I would buy one of those instead. I'm very annoyed as now I have to have an extra cable around. I specifically looked and only could see the port on the tail light when in the package so I figured both were USB-C. If I had the packaging I would return the light.

Great light!

This light combo is great for the price. I’ve used it on 2 night rides and multiple day rides. The front light is super bright when set on the max setting and let’s me easily navigate trails in the dark. The flashing option for the front and back is great for day use when riding near traffic. I would definitely recommend this combo.

Great tail light, battery problems with headlight

I purchased a very similar set last year. Same tail light, Lumina Pro 1000 headlight. I have been very happy with the tail light. Very bright, charges quickly and holds a charge well. My experience with the headlight has been very different. Very bright, in fact I run it on low or medium. The problems is that the battery doesn't last long and takes a long time to charge. Perhaps that is why they discontinued the model, so I would inquire about that if you are considering this purchase. 5 for the tail light, 2 for the headlight.

One issue after another

I bought the headlight/taillight combo less than 6 months ago. When everything was working, I was fairly satisfied with my purchase, but I've had a few problems. First was the taillight popping out when I hit bumps in the road. Almost Iost it in the river once. Then, the strap broke, making it extremely difficult to take on and off the bike. Fortunately, REI has a great return policy and exchanged the whole package for a new set. However, now the 100% NEW headlight doesn't turn on after charging. I think I'm over all the issues with this brand. I plan on returning it for something else.

Good light, Bad mount

The lights themselves have been great, but the headlight leaves a lot to be desired. I was in the middle of a 60 mile ride and the light decided to fly off on a steep decent causing some damage to the bezel

These lights are simply the best. Don’t skimp on lights. I use this on my helmet along with 1200s on the bike. Awesome combo and easy to charge and clip in. Nothing beats these lights, nothing.

Defective out of the box

Defective straight out of packaging. Rear light worked great! Front light fully charged with blue indicator light and wouldn't light up. Could never get it to turn on. Returned immediately. The mounting mechanism also felt sketchy at best for front light, whereas rear light had standard silicone band attachment similar to cygolite. Bought as replacement for wife's bike and strayed from cygolite just for fun. Will stick to the tried and true cygolite line. Anyway, thanks to REI for having such a solid return policy!

short lived happiness

Gosh, I was so excited about this bike light when I tried it on the first ride. A trusty upgrade to my old lezyne lyte drive 800 XL. Something I’ve been looking for for years and hey, a bonus brake light isn’t bad overall the build quality and performance of this product out of the box was amazing. The rear light works for flawlessly and all conditions so far I am, however, extremely disappointed that after only about 4 to 5 rides And less than two months of use the battery in this unit no longer charges and cannot be used if this light would even hold a charge I would give it a four star. I know the batteries don’t last forever and I’m well aware of cell degradation. However, my seven year old light drive 800 XL still out performs this light and holds a charge. I was excited to try the nitedrive brand but this uncertainty on charging leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth unfortunately.
