NiteRider  Vmax+ 150 Bike Taillight

I purchased this taillight because it uses a USB-C charger, which is superior to the USB-A and seems to be the charger connector configuration of the future. I lost it on my first ride. Thinking that I did not secure it properly on its mounting bracket I bought another. I liked the light and the USB-C charger, which most bike lights don't use. This time I made sure that I placed the light securely in the mounting bracket before each ride. Well after a few rides, that one bounced off too. If you own this light or are going to buy one, I strongly recommend that you duck tape it onto the mounting bracket before you go out for your ride.

I bought this a few months ago and have been using it during both day and night. It’s mounted on the loop of my fidlock saddle bag so sits right under my seat for easy reach. The light emitted from this is super bright, and I enjoy the pulse mode. It’s also easy to operate, where you can turn it on/off by holding the button and cycle through modes while pressing it. There’s no need to cycle through every setting to turn it off, and it remembers your last mode when turning on. I haven’t had any of the issues of the negative reviews, and I find it weird that they were all submitted on 17 February mentioning nearly the same things…

I've ridden with this light at most a dozen times and had no problems. But on a ride tonight, at dusk, when I tried to turn it on, I saw that the rubber switch had fallen and was gone. With no way to turn it on, I rode an hour home in the dark, on busy roads. C'mon NightRider, this was relatively expensive, and it's safety equipment. Do some testing before you sell.

Powerful light , big spectrum, you can be seen from distance

Perfect compact taillight for daytime use. USB-C makes for easy charging, the mount works great and has a nice quick release to take off and charge, plus it can be tilted for the right angle. Very good brightness for daytime and the main flash modes (fast flash, slow flash, disco flash) offer very long battery life. Visibility from side is better than expected. Overall perfect taillight.

I've had the same issue with the mount that others have mentioned. After several rides I've found the light just barely hanging out. Most recently after a light rain that lasted all of 5 minutes I noticed water build up in the light. It appears to have gotten in from the battery charging point which does not do much to keep water out. I question the IP64 rating as I've seen cheaper lights from walmart holdup better in the rain. For the cost I would not recommend this to anyone.

I cannot speak to the long-term durability of this light. But for now it works really well and I love it. Very bright is great for daytime use. IMPORTANT: there are some reviews that say the light pops out of its holder. That's because they tried to slide the light into its mount upside down, which is easy to do by mistake. But it clicks in very securely when done right. So don't let those reviews deter you.

Nice light but the mounting bracket is not secure and after having it fall off a few times I finally lost it for good. I've had much cheaper lights with better mounting bracket.

This is the second light vmax light I have purchased. I like the recharge feature and the brightness, but both of them had the same fatal flaw. The push button to turn on the light fell of somewhere along the route and I have to use a chopstick to turn the light on and off.

Light repeatedly fell off poorly designed bracket. Finally lost it during ride as a result. I do not recommend this product. You will probably lose it soon after purchasing.
