Perfect for a river expedition
I purchased the venture 35/Nomad 10 combo for a 7 day raft trip through the Salmon River canyon. As I was alone in my raft, I had quite a few hours each day running music from my phone to my wireless speaker. In camp in the evenings, we used the same equipment. Not to mention the mapping apps and other tools on the phone. I could easily charge the Venture 35 with the Nomad 10 while in camp or with it secured on the raft, which kept the phone and speaker with ample power the entire week. It worked perfectly for what I need for a weeklong wilderness river trip and it will definitely be used in some beautiful places in the future!

Bikepacking luxury item
The goal zero solar panel was a great addition to our bikepacking set up. We use our phones frequently for these trips for taking photos and navigating. The solar panel allowed us to recharge the battery unit each day in order to recharge the phones at night. We also were able to recharge out headlamps, bike lights and wireless headphones. We strapped the panel to the back of the bike in order to charge throughout the entire ride. It did not seem to work well when we were moving but while stopping for lunch or setting up camp in the afternoon, there was plenty of time to fully recharge the battery unit. It was slower on a cloudy day, and we only got about half the battery charged. The extra weight of carrying the item was worth it, but I could see this being a negative for some. Overall, I liked this product and will bring it on the rest of my trip including an upcoming kayak camping trip.
Love it!
This is a great addition to my camping kit! I can charge the battery during the day and have sufficient power for my phone and lights. It's also small enough to attach to a bike rack or backpack. I can even use it to directly power my Bluetooth speaker with a USB cable. The 18W cable supplied with the kit is more efficient than standard USB cables and different power banks, so I charge the Venture 35 power bank and then use it to charge my devices.
Uninterrupted battery on Boltoro glacier
Worked flawlessly. I noticed that it charged the batter within few hours at 16000ft near K2 Basecamp… must be extra UV days at the elevation. This was everyone’s favorite.. porters, guides and fellow trekkers were always trying tibiae it to charge their gadgets. Reliable product. Very sturdy!
Awesome Product
I put it in my pack where ever I go hiking and hunting trips. Has yet to fail and all devices are charged daily. For example, it even gains a charge when it’s charging your phone! Just leave it at camp charging if you don’t want to bring it so you bank is full when you get home or to a glassing spot, set up and charge your gear while it’s charging! Must have!

Goal Zero Venture 35
It is a bit difficult to get to properly stand up - as noted by some other reviewers. I think the charge capacity of the battery pack is not as great as claimed.
We shall see...
Just bought this, going on a 6 day backpacking trip on the AT. Only 1 review for this product and I'm hoping it was operator error. Wanting to document this whole trip bt 4 Gopro cameras and assorted batteries. Fingers crossed , will definitely give 5 stars if everything goes well. Time will tell. Until then....

Paid for new
Purchased new but box was opened and gear is used.
Grand Canyon meltdown
I bought this for a Grand Canyon rafting trip. It was like it was so hot, the battery wouldn’t charge. I don’t think it was user error. Frustrated. Other people were able to use their solar panel setups to get a battery charged. I only wanted to take photos with my phone and use a birding app.

Better than expected
The venture 35 does what is expected and is built very well and will withstand years of outdoor usage. I was impressed how little sun ( basically overcast) it took to get it to start charging. Of course at a shower rate than full sun, but hey it is giving you something from nothing
