UV Protection Fails in South FL Sun
It fails to protect from extreme UV levels even when doubled up. My skin still burns and turns pink. The circumference is too small, and I have a small head. The fabric stretches too easily and doesn't return after hand washing and laying flat to dry. The fabric is see through, even before any use. Despite the friendly national park design, I am still harassed for covering my face and seen as a security threat. On the bright side, it's breathable for miles on bikes and hikes in the FL sun, and offers some protection. Alone it doesn't do the job. You will need a hat to protect from extreme UV.
Versatile Option for Backpacking
I was slow to join the Buff movement but now wish I had earlier. During 8 days of backpacking, I used this for sun protection, wind protection, and as a cooling cloth when dipped in a high mountain stream, and even for a little extra warmth one cool morning.
Cooling scarf with manatee/ Everglades theme
Purchased as a gift and impressed with the softness of the fabric, the colors and graphics of the Everglades/ manatee scenery and the concept of a cooling neck scarf for outings. Hopefully the recipient will be as pleased as I was.
