My favorite Go-To Jacket
I love this jacket so much! I'm 5 ft. 4, 130 lbs, and Medium fits well for me. It is a bit on the roomy/baggy side, which I like since I could layer up with a thick sweater in colder months. I love the big front pocket feature for carrying keys, phone, and lip balms without worrying about it falling out. It doesn't show in the detailed photos but there's a little mesh pocket within the side pocket to tuck in your keys safely(I love this feature!). I got it in deep forest color (which is no longer available I think), and I get compliments all the time when I'm wearing it. I will cherish this jacket for many seasons to come.
Great classic anorak
Kept me dry on a 3 hour hike in the pouring rain on Mount Hood. While for multi-day backpacking trips in the PNW, I’d still turn to a 3 layer gore-tex to stay super dry and for reduced weight, but this has not let me down so far. I love that you can customize where you need to add the most weather resistance and less where you want more breathability with the wax. Seems super durable, which is great when compared with a lot of modern gore that you have to baby. It’s easier to wash. And of course it’s much more eco-friendly. I don’t feel like it’s much more time-consuming to care for, and I like that I don’t have to worry that my hair products might be destroying any crucial membranes. I like the snaps and ventilation. It’s intentionally large. I like the loose shape, personally, and so you could size down if you don’t like that and probably still have some room to layer. Also great for those of us with bigger hips and bums. I love this brand’s warranty and customer assistance (you can get them to wax it for you if you want, but it’s really easy to do yourself). I’d suggest you buy some wax when you get this so you have it on hand if you need touch ups.
Love it so much!
I absolutely love Vardag Anorak for its good quality and durability. The material is thick and it is versatile for different occasions and weathers. I got a desert brown one and it looks great on me. This one runs a large than usual size. But if you are going to layer some clothes underneath then it is true to size! I'm 58kg/161cm and I could fit into size XXS, XS, and S. I have narrow shoulders, but size XXS makes me feel a bit tight on my shoulder when I move around my arms. XS is a good fit to me but not enough for extra layers. Eventually I got a size S. (I normally wear S-M).
Great Anorak. Runs Big.
This is a great anorak. I’m 5’2 120lbs athletic build and wear an XS in everything Fjällräven except I wear a S in t-shirts and leggings. Based on the reviews of this running big I ordered an XXS and I’m glad I did. It fits perfect. I can wear a thin layer underneath and still have room. I have some anoraks from other brands that also run big, so I think that’s just the style of these garments. It’s comfortable and the fabric isn’t too thick.
Great for larger busted women!!
This just arrived and it’s awesome! I am generally an XL-XXL and large busted but read the reviews that the coat fit large so took a chance. Generally speaking Fjallraven isn’t very size inclusive but big girls like enjoy the outdoors too! The quality, placement of pockets, side zip, and hood are all very well done.
Terrible - you get wet even in a light rain
Despite the fact that I love fjallraven products, this one is a huge disappointment for me. It does not hold any water - you get wet immediately. It says you need to wax it - I've tired - several times - does not help at all. Absolutely not worth buying it - money thrown away.
Runs big
Super cute jacket and really comfortable, easy to wax and waterproof. It just runs really big - I normally wear a medium and I could have easily worn a small or even an extra small.
