Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements.
SHORT: Some pants are available in short sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 2.5 inches shorter than regular sizes.
TALL: Some pants, shirts, jackets and parkas are available in tall sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 3 inches longer and a rise that is 1 inch longer, a shirt or jacket body that is 2 inches longer, a parka body that is 2.5 inches longer and sleeves that are 2.5 inches longer than regular sizes.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

Great Tights, Poor Stitching
These are great tights. I've purchased three pairs. The material is thick, and feels good. I would give them a 5 out of 5 HOWEVER... the stitching on all 3 pairs have started to come loose after less than a year. I do not wear these every day. In fact, I only use them at festivals, so really only a few times per year. It's pretty disappointing that for this price, the thing that literally holds them together is so poor. The same issue has happened with all 3 pairs that I own. Perhaps its a manufacturing issue, but if REI could fix this, these would be 5 out of 5 for sure. Knocking down 2 stars simply because they have not held up with minimal usage.
I like REI a lot, but honestly these are not great. I can't find words. Look external and internal, not strong.
Great value man tights
I use these to keep the sun off my legs while, well anything (SUP, kayak, run, bike, river float). I can't find anything this level of quality at a similar price point. I've tried cheap tights from costco and Amazon -- they really suck compared to these. Two cons, which I see in other reviews commonly: -too short to cover the ankle. No tights I've bought ever cover the ankle completely and I wouldn't expect them to. Long socks are always needed for complete UV protection. I pair these with neoprene socks when getting wet. -smaller than expected. I'm a medium in every other pant (32/33). I'm a large in these. Not tough, it's REI, you can order 5 sizes and return the 4 that didn't fit
Great lightweight, warm weather leggings
Basically a perfect fit. I'm a little on the larger size but a Large was the perfect fit. They breathe very well, but will trap a little bit of heat, and offer a touch of wind blocking over just having bare legs. Have been quite a benefit for cooler weather. Kept me warm in my kilt while hiking in low 50s weather, and also kept my legs nice and clean
good, warm tights
Good product for about 80% of it, but for some reason, a lot of these similar REI products have this stiff waistband. It's prone to causing some weird wrinkles in it, and doesn't seem to come out with the wash. Ironing the waistband is a definite no too.
great running tights
I really like these tights for running. The 'no bounce' pockets fit a phone nicely and there is ... no bouncing around. Please make a pair of running shorts with a liner with a similar sized 'no bounce' pocket, or I will be cutting these into shorts once the cold weather in over.
Great value excellent fit
I used these as a base layer at night on a back packing trip. They were very comfy under my hiking pants. Great value and an excellent fit
To short in the leg length!
I am 6'1" and 210 lbs. These tights are way to short in the legs. They need to be at least 4" longer. Tried to wear them on a Grand Canyon float under my board shorts and my ankles and lower legs got fried. They are closer to capri pants.
Short and small
Fits size smaller, especially legs. Not full leg length.
Generally good but could be better
Quality material and like the addition of the side pocket (wish there were two). Perfect size-wise and fit well. Would benefit from a slightly more contoured cut in the front for comfort and support. Stitching started to blow out after minimal use over time (inconveniently right up the back butt seam! …a potentially embarrassing situation- Not cool REI!)
