Meh, not a fan.
I love Patagonia products but was not "wowed" with this piece. It is too boxy on me, billowing out mid back but snug on the chest and hips. I followed the size guide but it wasn't as form fitting as I would have expected based on reviews. If I sized down it would not have fit my bust. The material felt weird too, almost itchy and it doesn't have any stretch. I also was not aware of the pocket inside above the label, which puts a zipper near my near and makes the color not lay flat. I was hoping to use this running, hiking and lounging around the house, but it is going back. Too expensive for what it is and blah fit.
Nice fleece but small
This is a comfortable, lightweight fleece. I usually wear small but had to return and order medium so I can wear it over a light base layer.
Nice shirt, runs very small
I have two of the Patagonia R1 Pullovers in size small. They both fit perfectly, so when I ordered this Patagonia R1 Air Zip-Neck, I naturally ordered a size small. Sadly, the R1 Air is sized much smaller than the R1 and I’m having to exchange it for a medium. REI was very responsive about getting a replacement out to me quickly and I’m happy with the excellent service. But I do recommend sizing up if you are considering the R1 Air Zip-Neck. It is smaller than Patagonia’s normal size “small.”
Great all around pullover
This is my 2nd R1 pullover. The pullover is perfect for all types of activities and for layering. I used it in Iceland while hiking and I was warm and comfortable. For city use it’s also stylish.
So much better than a sweatshirt
I liked my first R1 Air Zip-Neck Pullover so much, that I purchased another one in a different color. It's comfortable, easy care, warm and lightweight. I like the way the back is cut a little longer so that it partially covers my backside. I sized up to have a little more room for layering a t-shirt underneath and still looks sleek and form-fitting enough for me. if you like a slimmer look, you should order your usual size.
Runs small
This item is very light which is fine however, it also runs very small.
Good looking, no stretch
I like the way it looks, but there is ZERO stretch in this top, so if you're expecting a fleece that stretches, this isn't it.
Comfortable sweater/top
Nice design, great fitting, very comfortable and warm, but light weight.
