Tasty But It Comes at a Price
I gave three stars because, well come on, peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies, what's more to say?? And as a bonus, we got more than two servings as indicated on the packaging. But with this said, I feel that there are two large drawbacks with this product. First is the cost, expensive compared to grocery store cookies (and you can make your own cookie bites from grocery store cookies). Secondly, is the weight. For some reason these bites weigh more than the cookies bought at the grocery store (I confirmed this with a field test). If you are blinded by the sheer pleasure of peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, I can't deny you this product. But I'm of the opinion that there are better alternatives to explore.
Fantastic
If you like cookie dough bites (like for ice cream) these are basically the freeze dried shelf stable version. Very tasty, can be used by itself as a quick treat or can be used in a verity of camp dessert concoctions. I personally keep some in my hiking pack so I can quickly satisfy a sweet toothed big foot if necessary :) (these seem to be it's favourite). Otherwise they are a fantastic trail companion if you yourself need a tasty boost. As for what you get: Well if you've ever purchased freeze dried anything you know it's not cheap. In this case the price is actually really fair being on par with pretty much all other freeze dried confections. But also in this case that little pouch is STUFFED! That was really an awesome suprise to find, as I was able to share with the kindly sweet toothed big foots / feets and had plenty left as I ventured onward. Thank you for reading my review, now go outside and enjoy some nature :)
Handy trail snack for the family
These cookie bites are not bad, they can make your mouth a little raw if you eat to many at time since they are freeze dried. But overall these are a great pocket size trail snack, especially good if you have little ones hiking with you.
Very good taste!
Very good! I expected a weird chalky taste because these are freeze dried but that was not the case! They actually taste good! And are less calories than actual cookie dough.
So Good
These are great! Ingredients aren't wierd, taste great, last a long time, and are (relatively) cheap calories for shelf stable packaged food. Definitely recommend.
Sweet cookie nuggets
Took these with me on a 2 day hike recently and they were “eh”. Opened the package to find what could be best described as cookie nuggets. Hard little crunchy bites that somehow survived the journey in my bear can. Sweet, but not quite what I had imagined. Would not be something I would seek out again.
Great pick-me-up
Super light and so tasty these cookie bites are my go-to for a long day of hiking, and are especially good for reversing a blood-sugar drop! A package gets me 3 or 4 10-mile plus days.
#1 Trail Snack
Bought these to munch on for my 2 day backpacking trip and they were great. Super easy to eat on the go and once I’d gotten through a good bit of the bag I could stuff it into my front pocket. Tastes great and will definitely hold you over til whenever you stop to have a real meal.
Cookie snacks kept the kids going
Enjoyed these on a short hike with the kids. They were not messy at all and seemed to be good for energy. To save space I would put them in a small ziplock container that you can reuse for snacks.
