Worth every penny
90% of my daily runs are in the pre-dawn hours during the fall and winter. This light is by far the best solution I have found for road or trail running. It doesn't give me a pressure headache like standard headlamps and leaves my hands free, unlike the Nathan hand torch I was using previously. It is lightweight and works well on any structured bill, even visors. The width is adjustable and clipping it on is hassle-free. Easy to charge and the 2.5hour battery life runs true. The only disadvantage is you cannot adjust the angle of the light, which may be a problem in fog or rain. I also use this for outdoor work in the evenings. Great investment.
great headlamp
Decided to take a chance on this even though it had no reviews. Having now used this for several months, I figured I'd be the first reviewer for anyone else who's on the fence. I'm impressed with this and it's become my go-to for night running. It's more comfortable than a traditional running headlamp, and allows me to wear a baseball type hat without the shadows cast by a headlamp + hat brim combo. There are a couple settings for brightness which are plenty bright enough for my purposes. Lastly, the clip is easily adjustable so no issues fitting it to my large hats for my large head, but smaller headed folks shouldn't have an issue either. It does need frequent charging depending how much you use it, but that's a common complaint for running headlamps in general. Overall, a solid light - would recommend.
Doesn’t fit cap
It’s an LED light, but the housing is so specific to the width and curve of the ballcap that it’s borderline useless. It didn’t fit several of our caps, and the also was unusable with glasses.
necessary for night runs
I am an avid runner who runs hills during winter nights and needed a lamp that will give me the confidence to see in the dark. This lamp is so great for many reasons. it doesn't move once you've secured it which means you can run without worrying about it falling. also, it comes on and off my running hats easily. the 250 lumens are enough but I wish it was brighter.its also rechargeable which means no batteries or wires!its fits flush against the bill of your cap so you forget its even there. I wish I could give them to all my runner friends
Amphipod USB Cap Headlamp
I have found several uses to this cap headlamp. In addition to using it for night walks, I have use it when looking for things in dark places around the house, for reading, and other activities. This cap headlamp is very useful.

bought this for my husband and his running partner. It was a game changer. So bright. They can use their own hats and it tilts downward so it really illuminates their path.
