Brick worthy!
Great quality piece of gear! I've been through military cold weather training applied a little bit of knowledge and common sense and this jacket along with a simple long sleeve thermal and a decent long sleeve flannel kept me warm walking in 20° with 15 to 20 a mile an hour winds for just over 2 mi. It wears comfortably and it does its job! This was also my very first time buying Boulder Gear. I will definitely be looking for their products in the future!
Not worth the price
zipper kept splitting from the bottom up. since its a hip length jacket, i would sit on the back of the jacket on the lift and noticed the zipper had come split, come undone. pita trying to get it unzipped while cold and on top of the mountain. also has these weird faux flaps for the waist pockets. not sure what they were trying to do. will be returning this item.
Outstanding jacket!
Outstanding jacket, really warm, comfortable, nice features like the sleeve lining that you catch with your thumb to keep it pulled down. Love the color and the texture of the material One serious drawback (which means 4 out of 5 stars) When did jacket makers quit using two way zippers???!!! I really miss being able to pull open the zipper from the bottom to regulate heat.
It's really heavy
If you were planning on this being a modern material light, even a mid-weight jacket, this is not for you. And I don't mean the insulation rating, I mean the physical weight of the jacket. The specs say weight is "Unavailable" and I can now see why. I ordered online and sending my back :-(
Not a fan
Not a fan of the material used to make this coat. I unfortunately returned it. The cost is low but makes sense as to why.
Very Happy with this Jacket
Quality of the jacket appears to be excellent. Fit is right for my size.
