I have only used this ski once, but it crushed in a wide array of terrain. It carves nicely on groomers and did pretty well in the chopped up rodeo of variable snow. It felt like it floated well in powder, although this early season hasn't given me a ton of powder days to test. It's definitely not the most stable, firm ski, but you get a healthy mix that lets you ski the whole mountain and have a good time.
This and the 98 are the closest you can come to a one ski quiver. They have a great balance of versatility, stability, and playfulness that all skiers of different ability’s and preferences can enjoy. I prefer a stiffer bigger ski so the 106 is my pick, but the new 98 will do it all as well
This is one of the best skis I've ever owned. If I were forced to own only one pair of skis it would be these. They just do everything. Especially for resort days when you are skiing groomers and off-piste, but they are also my daily backcountry ski.
Bought these skis a month ago and couldn't be happier. They charge through anything. Great in powder, just fine on ice, and excellent in choppy/variable snow.
The package with the 106 and Shift bindings makes back country skiing easy and fun.
These skis shred the trees, groomers, hard pack etc. Can’t go wrong with these!
They’re just great for resort skiing, absolutely love them!
