Warm and comfortable for running.
I love these for running in cold weather over compression tights. I don’t like feeling restricted and these are loose, but not too loose. I will probably wear a wool base layer under them when it gets below zero or single digits. Big zippered pockets, but putting a phone in them would probably be annoying and bounce a lot. I only take my keys. The only problem I have is, the seam badly chafes my lower back above my butt crack. I thought it was the tag at first, but I fully removed that and it keeps happening. The seams are not flat. I do tend to run at least six miles, so if you do less it may not be a problem. Chafing balm did not help.
Back again
I wrote a review back in December 2022 raving about these pants and giving them a 10/10 (summary of that review: I love them, I’m 175/180 pounds, curvy and got an XL). I’m back to give them an 11/10. I’ve worn them consistently for the past 4 months for professional, leisure and active events and they have performed phenomenally in all settings. I also need to note that given my lovely shape - the inner thigh part of most all pants are pilled. HOWEVER these pants show no sign of wear anywhere. Only about 1% of the pants I own don’t pull because of my thighs rubbing. I cannot tell you how thankful I am to have another pant in the rotation I feel confident and comfortable in.
Great winter pants
I am in love with these pants. They are perfect for running in colder temps. They are loose enough that I can wear with a pair of tights underneath for really cold days, but slim enough that they don't feel bulky on their own. They are also very comfy and I'm loving them for lounging too. I wish there was one zip pocket in the back instead of on the side (would be better when running) but I'm surprise at how little my phone bounces in the pocket - especially if I have another layer underneath. Also worth noting that the waist band is VERY snug on these. I think one size up would have been two long on me so I'm dealing with it, but I wish it was a tad looser.
Nice joggers for cool weather
At first I wasn't sure I'd like these pants. The cuffs were so tight I could barely get my foot through them and I didn't like the baggie fit in the hips. After wearing them, however, the cuffs stretched enough so they're easier to put on. The pants are very soft, warm and comfortable to wear, nice for cool temps around 40. They are a little big in the hips but a long shirt covers that up. I like the high waist which keeps the pants from sliding down. What would make them better is a cargo pocket on the leg for a phone. The hand pockets are big enough to fit a phone but it doesn't work well if you need to sit down.
These are the pants.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pants are excellent. The cuff at the ankle is similar to the wristband of a sweatshirt, doesn't pinch. The material is like a legging material but much thicker, in a good way. They fit like a snug jogger. You can honeslt wear these to workout or casually as well. I have worn them on a run and I have also dressed them up a little with a tshirt and jean jacket. Nice roomy pockets with a zip. Stretchy but not see through or shiny. I consider myself a legging and jogger expert and these are the perfect hybrid. Would give these 100 stars if I could.
Great pants for chilly days
These are perfect fall pants, both for hiking, walking, and running. I am 5'7" 140 and ordered small - still slightly loose in legs but definitely a tailored fit.
Very comfy
Not quite as warm for cold-weather hiking as I had hoped, but should be fine with a base layer underneath. It's interesting seeing others' experiences with fit. I'm barely 5'4" with about 30 pounds extra weight but no butt, and usually wear about a size 10. I ordered the size Large, and I find the fit to be quite roomy but very comfortable. I have no problem with the ankle cuffs or the waist being snug as others have mentioned. The fabric is nice and soft. I guess with all of us being different shapes, the best way to see if it'll fit is to try it. I wish these had at least one zippered back pocket. Preferably two, as I prefer back or side pockets to front pockets for phone and wallet. And a key pocket.
Good, but not Sporthill
Brooks Women’s Momentum Thermal pants are soft, comfortable, and well made. They’re probably great for running when temps are in the 35-45 degree range. They’re not quite warm enough for me when I’m out walking and it’s in the teens or 20s. I bought them to tide me over until my Sporthill winter wardrobe fits again. Sporthill is the gold standard and my usual go-to for xc skiing, snowshoeing, shoveling, walking, hiking, and all the other things I like to do in winter. I’m grateful to have found winter exercise pants that fit; they’re just not quite warm enough for me.
The most comfortable pants in the world
I LOVE these pants. I bought them for winter running and I’ve worn them running and they’re very cozy, and my phone didn’t bounce around in my pocket the way I worried it would despite the looser fit. But mostly I wear them around the house to relax in because they are just so comfortable. I’m about 5’9” and 165lbs with a big butt and they fit perfectly, just loose enough to move easily. Please make more colors!
