Nice kid's water bottle
Received free for review purposes - no strings attached. Great kid's cup! My son said it was his favorite. cup. ever. before he had even used it. Thought the planets were awesome. As soon as my daughter saw it, she loved it, too. It has a vent to prevent vacuum. It was very easy for them to remove the cap, lift the stem, and drink. He's 4, and didn't need any help. Ditto for daughter, 3. It's definitely uninsulated, I felt it get cold immediately after starting to fill it - so it will sweat! Mouth is large enough to get a brush inside to clean. With the nozzle fully recessed, it does leak on its side without the dust cap in place - something to keep in mind. Versus plastic bottles, the risk of shattering on dropping (I've had a Nalgene do this) is totally eliminated, but it will dent. Finish feels pretty durable.
Great water bottle for young kids/toddlers
This water bottle is the perfect size for young kids and toddlers, it is hard to find small water bottles that won't be too heavy when filled. I have a 1 year old toddler and 2 1/2 year old that both love using this bottle. It is also made of metal and very durable which is great considering littles often end up dropping the bottle. The nozzle is also made out a harder plastic which is good so that kids don't chew it off. It is not insulated which makes it lighter, but liquids don't stay as cool as long. It can be washed in the dishwasher which is nice. The loop on the cap is great for clipping to strollers or backpacks. Overall, this is a a great daily use water bottle for young kids and I would definitely recommend it.
Cute, durable water bottle
First impression of our new water bottle: it is super cute, very durable, and attractive to kids. We have dropped our water bottles alot so thankful this one will last. I'm also glad that it doesn't leak and is light weight, making it ideal for carrying in a backpack on a hike or to school. The only downside I see is that the top that you open to suck water out is a bit hard to open and close, like it needs some help, which could be tricky for little kids. Overall, I would recommend this water bottle to others.
Great kanteen
My kids really this bottle. I have had it for several weeks and the finish have held up great to the abuse my four kids give it. When the top is closed this water bottle is leakproof. It would be 5 stars if the inside of the top was easier to clean.
Solid, Thoughtful Design
I own a lot of double-walled aluminum water bottles, but this is the first one I have owned by a name brand company and I have to say that it's been worth it. For one, the valve material is much more durable than the others we own. My kids have a tendency to chew their water bottles. They've actually chewed mine up in a single day, however this bottle has held up to their abuse well. I tried it myself, and it's a really durable material, I expect it to hold up for a good bit. Another design that I appreciate is the flow. This bottle can dispense water without any suction. Meaning our kids can just flip it and pour. Other bottles are difficult because they aren't able to easily get water out. And lastly, I love that it has a little cover that can be attached. Our daughter keeps this bottle on her bike and this keeps it from getting dirt in the valve from riding on the trails. It fits perfectly in her water bottle holder. So far, it's held up to lots of abuse, and keeps their water super cold. It's become the kid's favorite water bottle. I asked my daughter for her review and she said, "yep, I love it. It's a great water bottle. 110 out of 5 stars!"
Great for Kids!
I am not sure there is a better water bottle for kids - this thing is a tank for damage. My boys can drop it, kick it, throw it, have it fall off their bike, etc. and it will not shatter. It might have a scrape or two, but, we don't have to worry about it breaking. The one we have (with the planets on it) has a slight texture to it. My kids were born with butterfingers so the texture seems to help them hold on to it so. The size is also perfect for jamming it in to a diaper bag or backpack and have room for other stuff and not feel like you are carrying a brick. Maybe the only cons are that it isn't insulated and the stopper (what you drink out of) can be a bit tough to open for my boys (age 5 and 3). Still, those are minor issues and barely even worth mentioning as we just put some ice in the bottle and I'd rather have it be too hard to open than too easy to open. This is the water bottle for you if you have kids and are looking for a water bottle that can take some rough use.
Great kids bottle - no leaks!
My 8 year old son took this to soccer camp all week and loved it! No leaks, easy to drink from and kept his water cool. There's a double seal to not only keep it closed, but also protect the top from unintentionally opening/keeps it clean. Two thumbs up from my kid and me.
Leaks no matter how hard I try to close it
I wanted a smaller bottle for myself (an adult) & can't seem to close it in a way that it doesn't leak all over the contents of the bag it's in. I'm putting my weight into it & leaning on it & still find my bag & the contents of it drenched. Now I'm only bringing it out to the garden. Even still, if it tips over sideways in my milkcrate of tools, there is a puddle on the floor. I am putting EFFORT into closing it ALL the Way. Still it LEAKS
The cap broke.
The only problem is the cap, which broke after 1 week.
A great noninsulated bottle for smaller kids.
A lightweight single-layer steel bottle for kids, easily survives drops onto rocks or concrete. The tight cap for the mouthpiece keeps it clean and free of dust, and the size is perfect for little hands. Be aware that it's not insulated. At only 12oz, it is a little small for bigger kids, but the weight is fine for younger kids to carry for themselves and drink when they want to.
