Unlike most camping chairs, this seat is extra wide and has a nice high back. You can rest your head on the back even being 6'3". It is also high so it is easier to get in/out of for older or injured folks. Padding is nice too. Small cons: I will probably wrap the bottom in old bike tires at some point since they are getting scratched up (but not functionally a problem). The arm rests are good but might be a bit better with fabric. The padding can get hot and if you are wet (swimming, sweating), it doesn't dry out instantly like the unpadded ones. Overall I'd give 4.5 stars.
I wanted a light weight, easy to move and to clean, rocking chair for my living room. So I bought this from REI, and it is perfect. The chair is comfortable to sit in, easy to rise out of, and has a high enough back that it provides neck support for an average height person. You can rock back in it without risk of it going over backwards. It would not work for someone who is very overweight, but my guy who is 6'4" and 220 lbs finds it to be very comfortable. It folds up easily. I am sure it would be an excellent camping chair.
I purchased two of these about two years ago. They are indeed very comfortable and built very strong. I fully expect these to outlive me. There are two points to mention, however. First, these chairs are quite heavy and are best suited as extra chairs to supplement your current deck chairs. Their weight pretty much prohibits them being carried to outdoor events unless you're very buff. The only dig I have with these is the latch that holds them folded. It's easily undone which causes this heavy thing to begin sliding open. Very annoying and potentially causing pinched fingers. That is definitely a design flaw. It's not a big issue if you're only using them on your deck and carrying them a short distance, but if you plan to shlep these things a distance to an event, that could lead to a problem.
Sturdy. Locks in place, whether set up for use or folded up for storage. This makes it possible to move it around and not have it fold up, inadvertently (as the Alps Rebound Rocker Salsa chair does). Good fit for taller people. I’m 5’6” and it works, though the seat is, perhaps, a little deep for me.
Strong , comfortable and portable rocker. Recommend for taller people. I’m 6’ 225 and its perfect for me and very comfortable. It is on the heavy side, but easy to fold and set up. My wife is 5’7” and her feet are off the ground when reclining. I don’t mind because it’s my chair :)
Comfortable rocking chair that opens and closes easily for storage. It's a bit on the heavy side so not something you'd want to carry around, but it's sturdy and appears well made.
This is a nice camping chair. A little heavier so you wouldn't want to pack it very far but very comfortable. The only drawback is there is no can holder.
Comfortable but seat was too high for us, ended up returning them and purchasing something different. They were well made and again quite comfortable but our feet would not reach the ground when sitting in them and we are both normal sized humans. That is why they went back
I love the chair. It is very comfy, sturdy and it folds easily. It's rockers are supportive enough that it doesn't sink into the dirt when used. It is too heavy and bulky to backpack with.
For a camping item, it was way to heavy. In addition my feet did not touch the ground. At 5’7” that seemed a wrong proportion
