The ALPS Mountaineering Dash Chair is characterized by its lightweight and durable aluminum frame, shockcord assembly for swift setup, and a ventilating nylon mesh center fabric. The included carry bag serves a dual purpose with clips that can be used as an accessory pouch. It's designed with camping convenience in mind. The storage bag is the big victor for this product, it's very nice! I found that it still sits "low" and not quite as comfortable as I would like, so i gave it 3 of 5 stars. But it's a good solid chair, and if the height works for you then this would be a good choice.
Broke on the fourth time I used it. I'm 120 lbs.
This chair far exceeded my expectations. I ordered this chair for a softball tournament I was flying to and needed a lightweight folding chair. I am over 6 foot and 240 lbs so I was concerned it might not fit me. The chair is very well constructed and held me with no issues. I used it all week and it came apart and went together easily. I read other reviews where people were complaining that they had issues disassembling the chair after they had put weight in it. I put a very light amount of oil on the joints before the first assembly and have had no issues to date. I have used the chair well over two dozen times. I would definitely purchase it again.
The collapse-able legs get stuck and are not easy to remove. Making the chair not easy to transport.
It is a good chair to sit in, however over time the legs get stuck. Eventually the one leg on mine completely broke. I weigh 200 and the chair is rated for 250 so this should have never happened.
Loved this chair, but unfortunately one of the legs got permenantly stuck. Unfortunately had to return it (glad I was able to do so).
Fits in a day bag, nice and lite. Took it to the F1 race in Canada, carried it in my backpack on the plane. Has held up fine and have had it for three years now are still going strong holding my butt.
After careful assembly, disassembly and storage, I got about 3 uses out of this.
Chair fabric was built too small and does not attach to the legs, rendering it completely unusable.
Chair frame is very solid and feels well constructed. Goes together very easily. The fabric part also feel heavy duty and well assembled. On the heavier side for sure but much smaller than normal camp chairs when packed down.
