Great coat for winter weather!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic winter coat!! First off, the color is absolutely beautiful and I love the removable fur trim detail. The adjustable belt was great at creating a waistline as most winter coats can make one feel boxy. Loved that the coat had so many pockets for my needs. On top of being a beautiful coat, it is functional. I bought it for a recent trip to Iceland and it kept me INCREDIBLY warm through the wind and snow I experienced while I was there. I run cold as a baseline so I needed a coat that would stand up to harsh Arctic weather and keep me warm - I am so glad I chose this coat! The longer length (about mid-thigh on me), reflective thermal dots, and down fill features of the coat helped me stay so warm that I was actually hot at times walking around Iceland! I have always been a fan of Columbia winter coats and this was so worth the investment because I was able to withstand the crazy Icelandic weather and create some incredible memories that will last me a lifetime. Thank you, Columbia!!

Love the quality, hate the neck part!

Love the quality material, very warm, and nice color. But the neck part is very tight for an XL. I have a Suttle Mountain Jacket from Columbia size XL and the neck part is much wider. With the Icelandite, I could not zip through the neck part and I only wear non-hooded fleece jacket inside. Maybe next time Columbia could widen the neck part when making jacket with this particular pattern (Icelandite has top back and shoulder pattern that makes the jacket narrowing to the neck part.)

Perfect for a winter trip to Iceland!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this coat for a recent trip to Iceland during Christmas and it exceeded my expectations! I actually found myself too hot at times. It stood up to the Iceland winds and snowfall. I especially like the fleece lining at the top cause it kept my neck warm and I didn’t feel it was necessary to wear a scarf. I got a size medium to fit some layers of clothing underneath.

Closet staple for harsh winter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this jacket for flattening design, gorgeous Royal blue, and how warm it has kept me through exercise in chilly wind under 32F! The only downside is the weight. This is a very well-made high quality jacket and the weight tells. I only find it burdensome doing the laundry but this does not bother me as I realize it has kept me extremely toasty, which the other jackets can’t hold a candle to. In the pictures I pair with Columbia’s Minx Shorty boots. They go perfectly from top to bottom! Highly recommend!

So WARM but wish the stitching was sturdier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this coat! It is so WARM and I love the length! I bought it a year ago. I deducted 1 star because recently the back belt detail pulled from the seam and detached. I always carefully and rarely wash my coat by itself and hang to dry. So I'm unclear why in one year the back belt detail would come unsewn on one end. Very disappointed with this and not the coat is out of commission until I can locate some matching thread to try to mend it. Not very fun while we are having a cold spell.

Great winter jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m from FL, so going to NYC for Christmas I knew I’d need a really good coat! This coat was great, super warm, lots of pockets, great length. The best part was how waterproof it is, rain just beaded off. The only part that needs fixing is the hood. There is a large gap between where the fur buttons onto the hood. I eventually had to get a hat as my forehead was so cold despite wearing the hood. Overall I would totally recommend this coat!!

Great Parka!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this coat. The material is very durable. No snags with this coat! Adjustable cuffs, top pockets that I love to put my hands in because of the soft material inside. I love the adjustable belt in back, it gives you a nice shape. Also with the cold Chicago area weather, it keeps me warm and cozy. One of the best coats I've ever owned!

warm and stylish

SUPER WARM. And I absolutely love the soft fabric on the neck and the olive green color. It is still a little big, but seems like it will be cozy and fit perfect after I add layers under. I also love that the sleeves! The belt is adjustable in the back, allowing you still seem like you have a waist

New favorite jacket!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my holy grail purchase over the winter sale back in December! I wore this to Hokkaido and this coat kept me warm from the high 10's to low 20's (with proper layering of course). Right now in the States, it is still raining at the high 40's, and the jacket is equally suitable for such weather. I enjoy the amount of pockets and the fleece lining at the neck. Based on my measurements, over S fits the best, but M may be more comfortable if you anticipate extra thick layering. The only caveat I can think of is that the hood has short coverage if you remove the faux fur, so I recommend just keep it on unless it's to wash. The jacket is also on the poofier side, but it's a winter jacket after all.

Warm, very useful, a little bulky

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice coat. Has been very useful for me, as we live in a mountain area. Very warm! I love that it doesn’t have the hand extensions out of the sleeve (I hate those things and this is one of the main reasons I chose this coat). I do wish the front was a little longer (back is longer than the front) and it is a little bulky. Runs a little bit larger than other Columbia coats/jackets I have, but this is actually nice in that I can wear sweaters/sweat shirts under it comfortably. Does not lay well to wear unzipped, but it’s pretty uncommon you’d be wearing this type of coat open. I have gotten a lot of compliments on it and I would recommend it!
