Nice stroller! Lightweight and comfortable

I love jogging with this stroller even though it's not a jogger! I have not used it as a bike trailer as my second son is not born/old enough yet- but I can't wait to try it! I can imagine it will be weightless behind my bike. It's very easy to use as a stroller and I even prefer it to the single stroller I've used all last year! Thule has great products and setup was not hard. About 30 minutes. I don't like that the front removable stroller wheel is plastic instead of rubber- it's louder on rocky paths. But I do enjoy running with it because there is more space for my feet to reach forward while jogging as compared to my Thule single seater jogging stroller! I am 5'9" and the handle bar is just high enough. Would probably be too low for my husband. Nice black color and all tarps and folds and Velcro is intuitive and easy to use. Folding is very easy!

Excellent stability with large kids

I was torn between this one and the Chariot lite. I nearly spent more for the higher end trailer based only on the fact that it had 2 front wheels and I was worried that my 75lb kid would need the added stability when getting in and out. I was pleasantly surprised to see that is not the case. The trailer rolls easily and I can steer and turn with a single hand. We'll see how it ages but so far it's terrific.

Great trailer, saved my son in a wreck

This has been an awesome bike trailer for our 3 and - year olds. They love going on rides on the back of the bike and it makes trips with the kids super easy. It’s also very easy to attach to the bike and to fold down, even take the wheels off for collapsable travel. My son and I were riding today and got into a pretty bad wreck. I’m scraped and bruised and he was sideways inside the trailer. Other than some tears of fear about the accident, he was completely fine, not a scratch on him and for that alone I’d give this more than 5 stars if I could. I would recommend this trailer to anyone looking in a heartbeat.

Very Convenient and Easy to Use

I have a one year old and a three year old and this is perfect for trips on local trails, around our neighborhood and to the beach. I love how I can easily unhook it from the bike and wheel it from the bike rack to the beach with the boys and all our supplies loaded in the back. There is plenty of storage space and it is easy to collapse (wheels come off quickly) and put in the car. Even when folded, it still takes up a lot of space in the back of our SUV and I would change the side to mesh as the boys get warm in there together, but other than that we love it!

Very high quality

We purchased a month ago. We keep it in the trunk of our vehicle because we don't have storage space at our apt. It folds up compactly and the wheels click off in a second. It works as you'd expect as a stroller and as a trailer. It holds our 1 and 3-year-old with no problem. The seats and belts are not cheap, a big selling point for my wife. Both kids fall asleep in the trailer and are comfortable. A great, great buy! The color even looks really good. It pops and stands out on the road while also looking stylish! Nothing to complain about whatsoever.

Great Bike Trailer!

Picked this trailer up over the weekend and took my 13 month old daughter for 2 ~10 mile rides. She loved it! It took about 3 minutes to set the bracket on my bike and only seconds to hook up the trailer. It rides very smoothly and has a ton of storage space behind the seat. It is very thoughtfully designed and is really easy to break down for transporting it in my vehicle. If you don't need the capability to convert a bike trailer to a jogging or skiing stroller, The Chariot Coaster XT is a great choice.

Poor quality

Purchased couple years ago and very lightly used. Safety straps looked very badly designed and not secure at all day 1. To make things worse one of the latches stopped working. Stacked. And to make it even worse, I do not think it can be replaced. Thule does not list it as a replacement part anyway. Brake system was rarely used considering we live in flat area. Even that misfunctioned when one screw get lost and brake could not be disengaged. I fixed it but again, design is poor, that screw keeps getting lose. Another problem is that trailer has a lot of room for stuff at the back but not enough in front for kids legs. Again, bad design. I am not saying trailer is so bad but it is not worth the money. I think it is better to purchase cheep alternative and not to be surprised with issues

Velcro too short!

We’ve had our trailer for years now and use it every day to take our kid to school and every day we have to deal with the Velcro of the cover being so short that we can attach it. After the struggle to attach at least one end the slightest disturbance of wind and worse, rain, makes it fly open. So we are riding unprotected and many times wrt. 2 more inches and it would be perfect! We would even take just 1 inch. Don’t buy this trailer. It gets annoying after a while.

the best must have for baby(ies)

as someone who doesn't have a car, i use my coaster XT in all seasons. the big bike tires make it SO easy to get through snow. in the winter, i rig it with blankets in 3 places that seem made for add your own insulation. the on board storage for the front wheel is a must for a mother of 2 who has too many other things to remember. i've had my coaster for almost 3 years, and it's only just starting to show mild wear. totally worth every cent. thanks Thule!

A great multipurpose stroller

We have been using the Coaster XT for almost a year and have had nothing but good experiences. Our little guy (now almost 2 yrs old) loves it, and we utilize the secondary seat for extra clothing, stuffed animals, snacks, etc. It is perfect for our bike rides to the Farmer's Market, where we can quickly convert to a stroller to walk around, and pack our market goods in the back storage. It feels very sturdy, and while there isn't anything remarkable about the shocks, it seems to be quite comfortable whether we're on the road or an easy trail. I also like the ability to use the screen or the wind/rain cover, depending on the weather. The only other feature that would be great to have would be some sort of shade cover. We debated getting this since we already have the Urban Glide 2 jogger, but have found both to be equally used and enjoyed.
