Chipped, warped and down right dangerous!
Purchased 4 plates, 4 cups and 4 bowls. For our camper. Everything gets very little use due to the brass rim being razor sharp. Despite not being used the enamel has substantial chipping and the plane have somehow warped.
Alright for some people
We bought an entire set of bowls, plates LG/SM. They look extremely nice, and feel strong, however the bronze finish started chipping off the rim the first time we washed them. The place where the lip meets also has a small gap that my beard hairs get caught in and pull them out. You can't microwave them. They stack nicely together, but that is about all I enjoy about this produt. All the Barebones products I have bought look nice, but are not high quality when you use them. (Silverware, lights, other)
You can eat food off of this product.
These things are pretty cute. Nothing special about ‘em. Just your standard enamel dishes. Hard to go wrong with a plate.
Loud and awkward size.
The plates enamel coating plus their metal silverware leads to a large amount of nails on a chalk board sounds while eating. This makes it very hard to use them if you enjoy your ears or have others sleeping by you, like in a van. These plates are also quite large in diameter which can make storing them in smaller cabinets hard. Finally, sound proofing them while driving is challenging due to their constant scrapping which also causes the edge pint to chip.
Minty. Four Place Setting For Car Camping.
Bought a four place setting. Works great car camping. Wanted to upgrade from a cheapie set. Also bought four TOAKS Titanium 3-Piece Cutlery Sets to go with. Didn't scrape or break when cutting a steak on plate. Kudos Barebones.
Beautiful and Functional
I bought these to build out our "car camping" box of supplies as most of our gear is for backpacking (thus, no real plates), but it's just not feasible with a 4 year old and we end up car camping much more often these days. These dishes are great for that (durable, lightish, easy to clean and store), but honestly, they're so beautiful that we've started using them in our home as well. The lip is just enough to keep soupy or saucey dishes from making a mess, they're dishwasher safe. I'm thrilled with them and will likely be buying a few more sets.
Best plates ever
Really love the large surface - easy to clean .part of my camping collection . My family loves them .
Nice set of plates
Nice set of plates, finish is nice, some delivery hiccups, but not the plates fault.
Its a solid plate..
Not used to outdoor cooking, but as a chef, white plates and black plates are a statement. I put these through the ringer to be scratched badly and stained (curries and red wine sauces) and it came out well and unscratched. I don't like that its 2 plates for its price, but if you are looking for plating and decorating showcasing, get this. Don't use it as your main plate to eat off of.
Not durable
For being rather heavy and high-end-looking camp plates, these are not very durable. The coating developed chips and cracks after just one use, and the metal finish on the rims is coming off as well (this was with handwashing and biodegradable soap).
