Snow Peak does it again! Great plate.
I purchased two Snow Peak Titanium plates and two Snow Peak Titanium bowls and used them this past weekend while camping in the mountains. These plates and bowls are an awesome edition to my backpacking/camping kit. The Titanium is incredibly lightweight and perfectly sized to go in your camp bin or backpack. I used this set mainly for salad, fruit, pasta, and hydrating my morning oatmeal with very hot water. They were a breeze to clean ( unlike some backpacking and camping plates) and came in handy for washing up at camp. I have no intention of using these over a flame and therefore had no issues with warping, discoloration etc.
It's a plate.
So, I purchased these 7 months ago and... I like that they are lightweight, durable, pack easily, and that the edge tilts up. I don't like that they have no heat resistance. They can get hot really quickly. They are smallish-- fit one flat tortilla. I don't find them any more easy to clean than most other camping plates. They are nice and I use them exclusively when camping but I can't say that they are worth a $20/ plate price. I would recommend them to my backpacking friends or retired RV money friends.
Works perfectly for our needs.
I use this plate to feed my dog. He has a difficult time getting his good out of deep bowls and this is the perfect size and shape for him. Edge of rim comes up enough to hold the food but not restrict eating. Washes up easily. This might be off label use but we love it!
perfect plate
it really is the perfect plate. in a pinch, you can also cook with it. scrambled eggs. although you need to make sure the that it is spread out the food since any areas without food will heat differently and it will slightly warp temporarily. forget about cooking with an aluminum plate as it will immediately warp & spill. unlike lexan plates, this can also double as a pot lid. absolutely no worry about it bending in your pack. it is titanium. doubles as a frisbee & fan your bbq fire. lightweight, durable, can cook with it, frisbee, fan a fire = perfect backcountry plate.
I like it!
I used it this past weekend on the AT and it worked great! It's a great size, slides into my pack easily, very sturdy, super light and cleans up quickly. The lip on the plate is bigger than I expected which was nice and made it easy to scoop up whatever I was munching. It also helped in fanning our fire. I'd hesitate to take this plate when you expect the temps to drop because it is Titanium and your food will get cold fairly quickly. Other than that, it's a great addition to my cook set.
Lightweight TI plate
Got this and the bowl version for camping, and now I use them every night at home. Lightweight, strong, and a great size. The edge is rolled over to add strength and so it doesn't have sharp edges, and food can get stuck in that fold, but that's not a huge deal. Ideal would be the edge is thicker than the rest of the bowl so it doesn't have to be rolled over, but that would add extra cost to the makers, and to us, so this is the best value. But it's worth noting. I will be buying more for home use.
Snow peak plate
I love just about everything that snow peak makes. This plate is no exception, small light weight and very classy! Great for the backcountry and picnics
Perfect Size, Perfect weight, Perfect pl
Here is the plate that will replace the paper plate at the office and in your pack. It looks good, yet unassuming. It feels good while well balance. It's pricy yet it's green and will last. Possible uses; help with that diet due to the fact that you can enjoy a meal yet not huge helpings. The edges of the plate are high enough to hold food in place and can be used as a shallow bowl. Being green at the office instead of using paper plates that are too easy to throw away or cut through. Backpacking because of the light weight and it's easy to pack. The plate also cleans up easily unless you get food under the rolled rim. Yet the neatest thing is, no one will know that it's a Snow Peak, except you and those that have one. (there is a ever so small snow peak logo under the plate... ever so small) This plate will out last all of your adventures you'll ever have, unless of course, you lose it. Yes, it's that cool.
Light!
Extremely light and simple design plate. I am using this at home and car camping. If you have multiple, make sure plates are dry before stack them otherwise it will get stuck together. I usually add paper towel in between to prevent from sticking together.
Even Good in the Kitchen
This is great for everyday use! I use it in the oven at home, and broil stuff on it. I have baked small batch cookies on it. It cools down quickly and is easy to handle only a short time after removing from oven. Best of all, it is dishwasher friendly. I have had mine about 3 years, and still looks new.
