Telos Bickpacking TR2 Review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cool design idea…a little finicky at times. Poles should also be color coded for easier/faster setup especially when you are getting bombarded by mosquitoes and rain. Poles could be lighter. Do like the double vestibules and nice pockets on both sides for things. Overall, happy I got it.

Flawed footprint design

Yes, it's just a footprint, and it does the job. However, it is such a poorly thought out design for the carrying case that I wanted to note it. First, it has velcro as its closure method. I guess Sea to Summit doesn't expect you to put it on the ground, because it's coming up filled with leaves and other debris stuck in it if you do. Second, the case is cut precisely to fit if and only if the footprint is folded back up the way it came from the manufacturer. It wouldn't have killed anyone's back to give an extra millimeter here or there. Because when packing up in the rain, or cold, I feel confident that most people are going to fold it in half, then in half again, and so on. Not try to figure out the 3rd or 5ths or however that thing was packed originally.

Great footprint, mark the corners.

Great footprint. Does the job. Mark the corners at the skinny end blue to match the tent and poles. It will make life a little easier. Tough to shove it in tent bag too. Tent is now 4 parts.

Great tent but the storage system is difficult

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this tent. Easy to setup and take down. Plenty of space as a 6’2” guy. Only problems I have is: 1. On of the sections of pole got bent/curved after the first use so I’m scared that that one piece will break eventually. 2. The storage sacks they come with are small and difficult to repack, especially the one with the poles. I ended up just using their 8l stuff sacks that I had so it’s easier and not having to waste time getting it stuffed in. Overall I like the tent.

Love the Telos 2 TR, Disappointed in the footprint

First shakedown trip of the year this weekend with this brand new shelter. Tent performed amazing but the footprint not so much. I was hanging my gear up last night and noticed at least 2 tears in the footprint on the first and so far only night I have used it. I hope it did not get my tent floor too but I was beat when I got home. Will fully inspect in a couple days

Great Accessory

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Added the small and packable lightfoot tarp to the Alto system and its a great addition. Well worth having the right ground tarp to prevent a too big or too small footprint. Prevents flooding and damage and connect to Alto tent corner stake / posts well

The fact that the tells

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fact that the tells 2 comes in sever small packs allows for much easier packability within the backpack. The quality is first rate and quite intuitive in its set up. Great Job!

Telos Lightfoot footprint.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The footprint fits like a glove on the tent. Easy to install. Its also the lighter of the two options. It folds ip nicely into its carrier pouch.
