Too many seams for me, but my cousin likes them!
These gloves have lots of seams which I was concerned would rub and give me blisters and a longer cuff than I like. Halfway through our paddle, my cousin borrowed them and he loved them! They are now part of his gear. I will continue my search. Try them on.

Poor design and workmanship

I purchased this glove for kayaking and it wore through between the thumb and first finger on the first day. Very disappointing . I recommend you do not buy this glove and REI should delist it.

Excellent gloves for rowing

Bought these to replace Simms Guide Gloves for rowing my drift boat while fly fishing. I have only used them once so far, and they performed at least as well as the ones I replaced for rowing. The NRS gloves have good padding on the palm and protected my skin from sunburn. If they hold up I will consider them a bargain, at half the price of the Simms. To be fair, the NRS gloves are not fishing gloves, per se, and do not have the goat leather palm and finger panels that the Simms have. But these are features I don’t particularly need. Another point of comparison: I wear size S in the Simms, and size L for the same fit with the NRS.

NRS seems have bad desing of their gloves and mitt

These gloves have a seam right where paddle presses against thumb. This creates a blister for me. Also, the material on palm side is very thin. I am returning it. I actually had the same problem with NRS warm gloves and mittens. The same problem: seam is right where paddle contacts fingers. I am fan of NRS ( their SUP, boots, ets) , but I will not buy any other NRS gloves as they all seem have bad design. It is very regrettable that REI does not carry "Sea to Summit Eclipse Fingerless Paddle Gloves" - I had these and loved them. Unfortunately, have to buy them from Amazon instead of supporting REI.

Blister free paddling.

Comfortable for me. I do find as a one handed paddler that it can be hard to get the glove on and off since there isn't the extra fabric in full length fingers or a length of extra on the wrist to use my teeth to pull it down with. Other than that I found that over 50 miles of paddling in the wilderness it kept me blister free for the entire trip. I could see the seams bothering some folks but I found them completely unnoticeable. They dry quickly and don't add too much warmth on already warm sunny days. They will give you a wicked tan line at your second knuckles which looks pretty hilarious when you go back to the 9-5. I found the sizing chart to be accurate.

Love these

I’ve had these 2 years of very regular use and they are very comfortable for sea kayaking. Quick drying and just enough padding to ease grip pressure. The SPF is a super plus as well because I have to watch sun exposure. Getting a new pair as I’m wearing through the seams - the fabric is lightweight -a plus on hot days but they don’t last forever.

Nice equipment

Nice gloves. Good fit and seem to be well made. Using them for kayaking and they work well with good padding for rowing.

OUTSTANDING Gloves?

I was using lifting gloves for paddling but they created hot spots and didn't dry very quickly. These gloves solves my glove problem along with SPF 50 for my hands. They are comfortable and stretch to fit like another layer of skin.
