I love this jacket! I saw it in the Boulder store, and was in love from first try-on. I am usually a medium, and this fit true to size. I'm also fairly tall at 5'10", and the sleeves are long enough - I'd be thrilled if the body were a smidgen longer, but this will do. I could also wear this with a fleece vest underneath it (and a long-sleeved top) in fairly blustery conditions in the UK recently, and felt very comfortable. It's not entirely wind-proof, but it's better than many fleeces. The tuck-away hood also makes a nice semi-pillow for air travel. It's also washed very well. Thanks, REI!

Fozzie bear as an octagenarian

I love the idea of it, and desperately want to like it more than I do, yet every time I put it on I'm aggravated within about ten minutes and off it comes. It was pricey, so despite my dislike I can't quite bear to stop trying to make it work just yet. The aggravating bits: after only about a month, the fuzz matted down to look like a grungy teddy bear. No amount of washing has done any good. The pockets are humongous and quickly stretch with use, which ends up being just plain weird. And forget about leaving them unzipped. If you do, all the warmth leaks out, you snag the bejeezus out of the arm fuzz just from walking/standing, plus you'll look about 5 mos preggers to boot. Oh yeah, the shoulders fit weirdly tight too. Bonus: the feaux leather? Bad faux. Faux-sure. Overall: Sad. I really like the concept, and feel a few significant tweaks could make this lump of coal into a diamond.

MAKES NECK COLD! NO ZIPPER LINING Terrible quality

Definitely the most expensive non functioning cold weather jacket. Within the first month of owning it the zipper broke, not to mention the zipper doesn't have a sleeve to keep the cold material from hitting your throat and lymph nodes like other cold weather jackets do.. you will need to wear a burka to keep your neck warm if you wear this jacket in cold weather!!! seriously disappointed can't believe this jacket costs as much as it does. The fur is only soft for the first couple washes too, and the fur falls out easily. Used it lightly for one ski season and it tore to shreds..

Fuzzy-wuzzy style!

This jacket has some really unique features: a built-in hood, extra tall collar, the upper & lower pockets, and lovely faux-leather styling. I have been loving the fact that my neck is warm when I am snuggled inside the collar when completely zipped-up (& it looks really cute this way). I get compliments on this jacket often with folks asking where I got it... I would say it is medium warm--not wind or frigid weather-proof but still adequate. My only complaint is the un-lined, slightly scratchy interior of the pockets--not good! --they don't feel good to the touch...this jacket would get a perfect score if this flaw was corrected.

It's Great

I truly love this fleece. I know its limits and use it accordingly. It's not for 15 degree weather, but it's great with only a thin base layer underneath when it's 30-40F outside. The neck is really nice and warm and the hood fits well. It's very flattering and looks great. The one area that could be improved is the pockets, but they aren't worth deducting a star. I am 5'3 with a DD chest and a M fits me great in the sleeves and chest area, whereas I have trouble with certain Patagonias being too tight in the chest and the sleeves being too long. I purchased the Port color, which is lovely.

Loved it UNTIL

I really liked the muppet quality of the fleece, which is why I purchased this coat. I overlooked the oddly drafty thumb holes, the fact the zipper is cold on my chin since it lacks a shield of fabric on the interior, and the awkwardly high placement of the pockets, until the fleece sheared off the coat where the seat belt hits me across the chest and on the shoulder. I have owned this coat for less than one month and will be exchanging it.

So warm and cozy

I've only had this for two weeks, so I've yet to see how it holds up to outdoor expeditions and multiple machine washings. For now, this is the warm jacket I've been looking for, for Oregon winters! It's great around the house and at work, and even around town I've only needed to layer it was a vest or rain jacket (as opposed to my usual down coat). I am normally a size 0 in most brands and the fit in the xs is nice, except the sleeves are about 4" too short (which is typical for me in all brands). The jacket itself falls at the top of the hip, which is nice considering most shirts and jackets end up "shorter" on me than they're supposed to be.

Warm even in snowy weather

I am a super picky person and I do not like fancy stuff I'm very simple. My husband purchase this product and I absolutely love! He did well!! No complains thus far , it has gotten wet in rain a little ( we live in Seattle ) and it's gotten snow on it and it's still fluffy and warm as can be. I am seeing lots of review about wind .. there is NO shell on it if you will be dealing with wind or rain you purchase a shell to go over the product. It's getting matted down because people are purchasing product and popping it in the wash then dryer .. you can air fluff it but don't put it in a full cycle of drying . And you don't have to wash your product every time you use it , it's a fleece where it a few times before having to wash it. It's super comfortable super warm keeps me warm and I get cold easy! I am happy with my product so far.

Amazing!

I have not had any of the problems others have reported. My only dislike is the hood is a touch snugg for my liking so I prefer a hat or beanie when I were it on cold days but have work it literally every single day since dec 16 and washed it at least 9 x (no dryer) and it has had no single sign of wear at all! I should have added a pick! The pockets are a little weird but I did not find them "rough" or irritating to my body. I highly recommend this. Even on cold days with some wind I find it's toasty. I have sometimes even had to open it because it's too warm. Definitely a colder day jacket.!

Unique. Cozy. Stylish.

I use this jacket daily in the colder months. It looks absolutely amazing on - if you have a cool hip and rustic old school style . It pairs well with my outdoor gear for country skiing and hiking as well as looks good w frye boots and skinny jeans for colder days at work . I love all the pockets and the heavy duty zipper as well as the amazing collar and hood . Nothing like it ! I’ve washed it several times in cool water w woolite on delicate cycle ,hang dry and it turns out beautifully . I’ve treated this to hard wear for over a year now and it’s just fine . I was lucky to get the dark olive color and plan to buy it in the lighter breen now that it is on sale .

Loved it when it was new

It doesn’t stay like new. My seat belt strap put a line across the front. I love the cut though. Very flattering and lots of complements until the seat belt ruined it. Then my niece thought she’d be nice and do a load of laundry for me and put it in the dryer and it’s ruined completely. I’ll still wear it but for the amount of money I spent it shouldn’t be so fragile as a outdoor jacket. Btw we normally like the quality of kuhls. I have pants that look the same as the day I bought them and wear them often. This jacket was disappointing after I wore it for a month.
