They sound fine

Product listing is not correct. The wired version does not connect to the Aleck app in any way. These are just basic speakers

Not what I expected.

I purchased this wired helmet audio system for my smith quantum helmet as a Christmas gift for a friend and a set for myself. I was very excited to use them and had high hopes after reading a few other reviews that said they were pretty alright. When I got them they were packed nicely came with a nice little carrying back and seemed fairly solid. However, when I tested them in my quantum I was extremely disappointed. The audio quality is horrible barely playing any of the high range and being almost exclusively low to mid range with base. On top of that the play pause button would not work with my phone or any other phone I tried it with which is a one of the key features I wanted. I will be working on returning both pairs to smith for a refund.

They work

Not sure why all the negative reviews. I think people just don't know how to use the product. Me and a friend have been using these for a year and we are heavy weekend warriors. Plays music perfectly and controls work. The buttons, play, pause, skip and repeat songs as advertised.

Terrible sound - speakers lack range

I bought these with a new smith helmet after having a Giro 9 with thier speaker system (from REI) for over ten years. I miss the Giro speakers immediately. The Smith Aleck are packaged nice, but they are missing big on sound. Like really big, they sound terrible, the range is terrible, nothing I did with the phone equalizer would fix the sound. Just bad and disappointing. I really wanted these to work because I am not interested in in ear headphones. They integrated into the helmet well after pulling apart and making my best guesses at install. The instructions are not complete and online is focused on the wireless version. I wonder if those sound any better. I am still contemplating return or live with sound that has no range, going back to a AM radio. Very disappointing speakers

terrible aux cord

These speakers work great...when they worked. I used them twice, the second time one of the speakers cut out. I played with it for a bit and discovered the aux cable was of such poor quality it would stay connected. I had a spare aux cable, so not huge problem, i though. However, it requires a a 4 pole aux cable so now i need to buy a new cord to hopefully fix the issue. Great sound and the mic works well though.

False Advertising.

Honestly thinking about grounds for a lawsuit. These are being advertised as having the ability to answer phone calls and be a “one touch” operation. The button on the side does t even do anything. All they are are wired speakers you can put in your helmet. The Connect-ability to the app is non existent with the wired ones

Great sound and the mic

Great sound and the mic works great! Just wish it came with a way to adjust the volume on the wired version. The cord is just an aux without any functions on it. Still like them but may need to find an aux cord with those capabilities.

Works great, audio sounds good

Battery life is good, sound is good, life is good. I haven't tried to communication feature but all I wanted was music as my Airpod Pros sound terrible with wind whipping through them. Highly recommend
