The perfect pair of shorts
The two most important factors to consider when rating a pair of shorts are a) whether they are comfortable for any activity and b) whether you can put your phone, wallet, and keys in the pockets without fear that your shorts will fall down. These shorts do exceptionally well on both counts. They're nice and soft, stretchy, and the elastic waistband sits comfortably (ref: 5'4, 100#, XS). They have five pockets, and the front four are the best-designed pockets I have ever seen. They're large- even the zippered pockets could accommodate a phone- and they are supported structurally on both the sides and at the top of the waistband, so you can cram the pockets to max capacity with no annoying sagging. Beyond utility, they are also just a cute pair of shorts. The inseam length hits just right and I love the inksplat pattern. These shorts are perfect for sleeping, hiking, lounging, running, and biking, and as a bonus you can wear them grocery shopping without looking like you just escaped from high school gym class. Highly recommend!
Cute but Cheeky
I really loved the look and feel of these shorts -- I'm a recent Vuori convert. But I have run into the issue that these shorts seem to ride up in a way that exposes my butt cheeks. So I personally can't walk around with them in public without constantly having to adjust/pull them down.
So Soft & Comfortable
Great for running errands, lounging around the house or working out in. They run a little large, I'm normally stuck between a medium/large size (145lbs, 5ft, size 10 pants). I should have gone with the medium. They have so many pockets and are so soft. The shorts stay in place when walking and don't ride up.
Best hiking / running shorts around
These are the BEST running / hiking shorts. The materials is so comfy and dries quickly. They have four pockets (2 zipper, 2 regular) and I love that they don't have a liner. They look great too. I am buying a second pair.
Love the fit and material but not enough coverage
The fit and material are perfect, and I also adore how many pockets it has! However, the back rides up so much and there’s no liner. The waistband is also just elastic without a cord so I felt like it could slip down over my hips too easily. The lack of coverage just made me feel too exposed to wear the shorts without spandex shorts underneath, so I unfortunately I’ll be returning them :(
Cute but they ride up
These shorts are SO cute, flattering, and comfortable, but I’ve found that they ride up like crazy when I sit down. They basically ride up to the top of my ribs, and as a result you can see the lining of the pockets sticking out the bottom of the shorts. The fabric is super lightweight which is both a positive and a negative. It dries quickly, is great for travel/camping/water activities like kayaking, but because they’re so light, they get weighed down easily if you put anything in the pockets. The pockets are big enough to fit a phone, but the weight of my phone drags the shorts down on that side and you can see the my phone in the pocket poking out of the bottom of the shorts. Overall I really do like these shorts, I just don’t wear them as much as I thought I would.

Comfortable, stretchy, and fit nicely
They are not 3" inseam. Show off butt cheeks.
If you are looking for a short that is a bit longer this is NOT your option. I am sad to say that these fit just as short if not shorter than the Clementine. I have 2 pairs of clementine that I love and I thought since these are the same material I would love these too but they are higher waisted and also seem to be shorter inseam. They show off butt cheeks and the Clementine don't. I am so sad about the fit of these!
Great for shorties
Material: soft and like a dream just like any other vuori item. It's light and thin. The material itself is stretchy and has 2 open pockets with 2 smaller zippered pockets as well in the front! There's 1 zippered pocket on the back left. The waist band is great, its thick in width but its thin and stretchy without feeling stuffy or suffocating. I do wish these sucked me in a little more but comfort is its charm. Length & Fit: I can't believe these are 3 inches. I'm 5'0 with a 'bubble' booty with a straight waist thru hip. These are neither high rise nor mid rise on me. Before I washed the, they fit like high waist and covered my belly button, but after washing and drying, they barely cover my belly button. If I pull it up to cover my belly button, then I get the front wedgie look- yikes! The other reviewers are spot on about the fit at the back. I would caution curvy gals from these or at least size up! If I bend over, it's defintely short enough to see your underwear if you are wearing full-medium coverage panties. However, since these shorts aren't necessarily baggy, they don't flash everything, if that makes sense. I'm currently lounging at home with these shorts on with boy short panties and you can certainly see the panties, but since Im at home, I'm not caring. Overall, I would recommend for at home workout, lounging at home, or causual wear to do errands. If you don't mind your bottom popping out then I'd say go for it.
just not a 3" inseam
First, the good: the fabric is light and airy, the waist band is wide and the print (shibori) is beautiful. I like printed shirts for hiding dirt, sweat etc. Second, the not good: I have a 27" waist and 36" hips which should make me a Small in these, according to the size chart. I'm a runner and have commensurate thighs and these fit with no issue there. The problem is that they are functionally not 3" inseams. There is barely 5-6" of material from one leg hem to the other, with no accounting for crotch width (thigh gap for some people I'd imagine). Also the waist wanted to creep up because it's elastic, making the short inseam even shorter. Plus there's very little material in the back, so there's hardly any butt coverage (you can see this in the photos of the models). I could see my underwear just by bending over. Not great for running, especially not if there's any breeze, hahaha. So, while I called these "true to size", they are not true to length.
