Poor quality for the price
The quality is so bad you would think these were bought for $9 at Walmart, not for $100 at REI. After using them from Oct through Apr for two years (so about 12 months of use total), they have shed the wool fibers in many places and now have "bold" spots with just some sort of an underlying mesh. So they look ugly, a losing their thermal quality, and quite frankly make me mad that I paid $100 for them and now am contributing consumption and waste because I need to get something else before the next winter.
Beast slippers I've ever owned
These things are amazing. Although they look like they can be folded down and worn like clogs, I've found that isn't very comfortable. However, worn correctly they are super comfortable, warm but not too hot, and the soles are machine washable. I don't wear them outside very much because they really aren't made for that, but they're the first thing I put on during fall, winter and spring for around the house. I'll buy another pair as soon as these wear out but so far aside from stretching just slightly, they really don't look a day older than when I got them more than a year ago (and I've worn them every day except in summers).
Keeping my feet warm
Highly recommend these slippers for the damp and cold weather Pacific Northwest. These were primarily designed to be worn inside the home however, they have a man made bottom so they could also be worn outside on an infrequent basis.

Fine slipper, didn’t seem any better than a 30-45$ slipper. Returned.
Great slippers
I love these slippers. There lining is stuffy and warm. The sole has good traction and is quiet. They are incredibly comfortable
