Great for small frame
The cradle is nice and adjustable to be out of the way of the brakes/cables, as well as the tire, all on an xs frame size. I had issues with all the other harnesses and bag combos I’ve tried (they all were too long from the handlebars and rubbed on the tire), except this one! And, I’m able to combine it with other dry bags. Haven’t tried it on any big bumps yet, but it feels quite sturdy.
Great Part and Excellent Customer Service
Purchased this online from REI and received it with the wrong sized mounting arms in the factory packaging. The product is listed as fitting 35mm bars with 31.8 shims. This one came with arms that were only 31.8 and obviously no shims. I spoke with REI on the phone and they verified that this seemed wrong according to the part numbers and offered to do a return and ship me a new one. I then called Salsa directly (owned by QBP) and spoke with a tech rep. (Joe). He was extremely friendly and helpful and immediately sent me the correct arms/shims at no charge and received them in three days. The cradle is extremely solidly mounted on either sized bar and the manufacturing quality is superb. My experience with Salsa/QBP and REI was the pinnacle of great customer service and this cradle is the best one I've come across. Works even better with a set of Austere Manufacturing buckles and straps. Totally clears and relaxes all of my cables with either Jones or flat bars. Using it with a Revelate Saltyroll and will work with any dry bag. A+
